Hubbard Shooting Percentage
Hubbard shot 32% from the field and 35% from three point range.
Imagine if he shot the team average at 45%! Imagine if the team shot 35-40% threes?
My son and I used to mock Marshall Henderson for doing the same at om. Is this common among high scorers?

Have you never heard the term "high volume scorer"?

I wish he would drive to the basket more be cause he does draw the foul and he is a dam near 99%FT shooter. Now Epps on the other hand Bombs away. But Hub is who he is.

Keep shooting JHub....it's our only chance.
When you think you may need to be unselfish....shoot it

Hubbard has gone to the SGA school of middy foul baiting shots. He takes shots that about 60% of the time get a foul called. That helps level off his TS% but to understand his shot selection you gotta understand what game he's playing.
Think how impactful it was that we had two of Texsa's best players foul out today. Part of that is due to Hubbard's style of play and shot selection that doesn't show up in the box score.

Yep thats what I've been really impressed is his ability to get someone to foul out not to mention he usually make his shot when he gets fouled that it's a 3 no matter what.

38 points is 38 points no matter how you slice it.

I have not read this thread top to bottom so if Germans, sorry.
That is a huge difference in what everyone else is asked to do in their shot selections than Hubbard's. There is a reason for it. He can get a shot up even when the defense is all over him. Every team needs a couple guys that do that for you, our guy is Hubbard, full stop. Is there another one or two starting to step up? I think so, but from what I saw, He pretty much has to take over at the end of the clock or the chances of us getting anything out of the possession is very low. He gets his shot off, it has a chance adn rebound/putbacks do happen.
These volume shots you all speak are part of the offenses design for a reason. He is better at them than anyone else on this team or most any team. Sure he could shoot a higher percentage but that would require more him giving ball up to others who aren't as good at getting a shot up in the face of a tough defense.
If his shot percent gets high, it means this teams offense is clicking everywhere or the opposing teams defense is not good.

Ok you all make sense. I wonder how many misses resulted in a foul and points on the line?
