This football team
Is what your administration and big boosters wanted. This is the head coach they wanted. They are all a joke.

Time to do some soul-searching.

Nothing will change until something changes. Fire Lebby

Don’t worry. Our administration got motivated and focused on baseball!!!!!!!!!****

This team may be poorly coached, but it's also extremely limited in talent.
We better throw some serious cash at this roster or we are going to be in serious trouble yet again.
Need to keep Kamario upright and need a defensive line to take some pressure off the back 7 or 8.

This isnt remotely close to what they want. Nor did the real big boosters waste an inking of their time giving input on that coaching search.

Then this is what they wanted. They can organize for baseball but not organize for football. **** them too.

After watching Indiana I can't buy this argument anymore. We are more talented than they are and terrible.

We?re more talented Than the number 1 team in the country? If that?s the case none of these guys should be coaching flag football.

The biggest one with his name on the basketball court and with his name on the plaza in right field has never been and will not be some behind the scenes puppeteer. He will pick up the check every single time he?s asked to but I can promise you he?s not pulling strings like most here think the big boosters do.

Fantastic post.
Ole Miss has a legit shot at winning the football title but we will pound our chest about our glorified club sport. We should be a heavy baseball favorite each preseason in the Sun Belt 5 years from now.

Exactly. These yahoos crowing over baseball hires are one of THE main problems with MSU sports right now. This whole “baseball got organized and will take care of itself” is the problem. It shouldn’t have been the priority but our goofy administration and boosters would rather focus on that than organize our football program and keep us relevant. Mark my words, State will be left out in realignment and then baseball will matter even less.

Yeah. That's why football has gotten how many donations this fall?

Funny thing about the baseball boosters- most of them donate to guess what? Football. And a lot of the baseball boosters played baseball at MSU or were part of the program. Why would anyone be surprised that they would want the baseball program to be well funded and successful?
Now Selmon is a football guy. He played football in college. His Dad is in the Pro Football HOF. And we have fans that think he doesn't understand how important football is?
What baseball didn't do is say back in 2023 that we had to hire Zach Arnett to keep the high school class together.
Baseball didn't say that NIL was a fad.
Baseball didn't say that we had to hire coaches like Chad Bumphis and David Turner and that they just HAD to be on staff.
The problem is we have too many fans that think that the issue is if we don't fund baseball it will fix football somehow. And that is classic MSU fans. Let's cut off our nose to spite our face and then we suddenly have nothing and we wonder where it went wrong and blame Mark Keenum for it.
MSU baseball is successful because it doesn't cut corners. Which is exactly what Ole Miss football has done under Kiffin by the way. MSU baseball doesn't say that we have to be like Cal State Fullerton and we have to have a coach that does things a little bit differently. MSU baseball doesn't complain because football gets the lion's share of the money either.
The solution for MSU football is to stop cutting corners.

Oh let us completely shut down the baseball program. It will completely save the football program. Shutting down baseball program will make Lebby into Saban overnight.

Outstanding post Todd. Everything else you said last night was pretty much horseshit but this is spot on.
