I hope Keenum and Selmon
Had a watch party and watched this game together tonight. I hope they got to see that fanbase from Mississippi take over the Superdome and get all this media love. I hope they are pissed off and miserable like our fanbase is.
Not sure either has the leadership ability to do anything about it though.

They put out a Dawg Knight video. What else you want them to do?
-
Well I'll say this. I think Selmon has helped us make massive strides in football. He's the kind of person MSU needs to fix football.

Not sure there is anything anybody can do now. It's happened and we've been shuffled out.

An outsider. Non-MSU guy. Agreed.

Problem is…we have a fan base and boosters that concern themselves with baseball waaaaaaaay too much. State doesn’t have the money to split resources and still be competitive at football.

They don't get that miserable. They're incapable of getting that miserable over our football poverty.

He definitely has been an upgrade. I'll say that.

If you are throwing shade on Selmon and his leadership ability, you probably need to pay better attention to what's going on

That's a MSU problem. It is MSU's job to promote every sport. And yes we do have the money to "split resources" and I say that with quotations because football already gets much more as it is.
Because why do MSU fans care about baseball? It comes down to the quality MSU puts into it. Get the best coach and get the best stadium. Involve fans into it. What has football always done? "Oh we can't compete". "We have to be different". "We need a coach that can outscheme people like Dan or Leach because we can't recruit". That's the problem. Not baseball. The old MSU administration was the one saying we couldn't and that NIL was a fad. That's the root reason why MSU didn't embrace it.

I clearly stated he's an upgrade, but we have a long way to go.

Well stated, most on ED have not a clue about Selman and the work he has put in with the mess he inherited for many years! I know someone who knows the job he has done, but yet again ED posters love to pile on w/o a clue.

Selmon is not the problem

This is just a complete bullshit narrative today. If you had payed attention when Lemo was fired you would drop this argument. Baseball past the Cohen influence era is a very different thing. That program will not have to pull resources from football funding for the foreseeable future.

They have no idea how things actually work. They have no idea how we actually got into this situation and how far we’ve come trying to free ourselves from it.
