Sounds right.

There is no pivot. That imply's we were in negotiations and now have to go back to the drawing board. Durkin was nothing more that message board fodder and he has been negotiating with Auburn.

Would be difficult to hire a less qualified DC candidate than Hutzler, a former ST/LB coach from bama. Would be like hiring a former career RB coach(College and NFL), from bama to be our HC! Wait, never mind!****

Exactly. Saying pivot means you bought the lie @ Chuck, are you dumb? If not, then why did you buy the most obvious PR spin attempt by OM hook line and sinker.

Glad we were hearing the same thing. I was really confused last night where everyone was getting that it was a done deal. Had 3-4 texts saying we were pretty far down the road and the only thing I ever heard was that Chase Parham and Chuck Rounsaville were saying that the Womack commitment meant Durkin was coming, which like I said, it never did.

All I ever heard. Well I also heard without hearing cause usually once it's leaked elsewhere people feel a little more comfortable. Folks being pretty adamant we hadn't had communication with him made me believe they knew it was bullshit and they know another name is in target; however, the all clear hasn't been given to share it yet. Tight lipped ship.

Same. I think we've got 1-2 main targets. I've been told 5-6 names but none with any level of confidence that it's close to getting done.

I appreciate you guys keeping your lips sealed. As much as I want to do research on potential candidates I would hate for a ship to sink. Looking forward to an upgrade... prayerfully.

I posted in the other thread last night that I have it on pretty good authority that we are pursuing both Pry and Wilcox. Will we get either one of them? I have no clue. But we have the money to get either. I can say that with 100% confidence.

Nothing, he doesn't want to get back in full time and I can't blame him. We need to go to another direction anyway.

Thats fine but I would love to have him in the building. Personally I lean hiring a former HC for the role just for the mentorship to Lebby. Especially one whos been fired as backwards as that sounds

Lebby just stated that changes will be made over the next 7 to 10 days.
Also.. I still have not seen Hutzler with a post on social media.
Getting Womack alone should be enough to say something. Unless..................

All I know is that we are going to make changes and it not insignificant. This thing is being handled as quietly as a church mouse, which is a good thing. We don't need a leaky building that is a killer.

All I know is that when a DC that can not comment on a 5 star defensive player signing is no DC.

Coleman wasn't really big in recruiting Bralan. Barnes was instrumental and Lebby did a lot of heavy lifting as well. I don't know that Hutzler not commenting is as big a deal as some of making it.

FWIW though, no tweets since 10/24. Not sure if that's significant or not.

Oh it's a big deal. He is on staff, that should be a requirement. A person over the complete defense has to make comments. It comes with the job.
