Not that this guy was even a consideration for us, but waiting until after Signing day to select a DC and possibly an OC is concerning to me unless we already have our guys and are just waiting until after Wednesday to announce them at THEIR request.

I doubt announcing a new staff at this point would change anything. Just no need to rock the boat.

My guess is we want to get the signatures first before we make the changes. Our defensive staff has been working for 2 years now on some of these guys.

A lot of these guys also know that we are making changes. Credit to Jeff and Co. but we have been up front with the team and recruits about this stuff.
I am starting to believe more and more that there is a possibility Hutzler is just moved to STC. This will probably shock some folks, but the guy is a hell of a recruiter for his position and his area. He also recruited a lot of the portal guys we got and was instrumental in flipping Lockhart.

I don?t see a problem Hutz taking over ST. Our ST need help and if he?s plus recruiter then it?s a win-win.

Im not sure we could find a ST coach with a better ST resume than Hutzler (ST coach for bama, Florida, lane, and one more).
And I don't think Hutzler could find another DC job right now at the P4 level.

Yeah- would just reassign him and get whomever. Still comes down to bringing in talent. That’s where it has to get better
