Vanderbilt just flipped
The number 1 QB in the country from Georgia.
Vanderbilt is going to continue to become a monster under Clark Lea.
They have the money and have finally decided to start spending it.
-
Clark Lea better hope Jerry Kill sticks around.
-
Dang!! The Vandy Boys (so gay).
-
Candy decided they wanted to win finally in football. Their NIL is among the best in the league now

Right when we get them on the schedule instead of OM. Damn
-
Clark Lea better pray like hell Jerry Kill doesn't get tired. The minute he leaves, they'll go down the shitter again. He also better pray that he can recreate Pavia or that he gets another season.
-
Certainly helps when he lives down the road from the university. Of course, that hasn't necessarily meant much for us when we can't land the top talent in our small town.
-
They’ll see a bit of a drop off with Pavia gone
-
Pavia didn't do it all by himself, they have quality pieces around him and on defense.

Disagree. Kill is not even the OC now. But he is doing a great job of overseeing the offensive side of the football. Getting Kill was great for them- but their decision to spend money was the program changer. They now have SEC players all over the field. Lea was always a good coach- now he has players. It's not rocket surgery like so many people try to make it out to be.

He's a fantastic player and a leader but it still takes 22.

This is what too many dont get. Just like banging on Hutz saying he sux and all that. Hutz has a CB that is going to be a 1st round draft pick. He and his staff coached him up and helped him get there. But he also has a ton of damn talent and teams got to where they didnt throw at him very often. Unfortunately- we didnt have enough of those guys on the defensive side of the ball. When we get better players- our defense will approve.
Candy brought in Pavia and he can make plays- he also has some talent around him making those plays. Stowers at TE is the #3 TE going into the draft right now. His TB averages 5.5 per carry- meaning their OL is not too bad as well.

Exactly.

Huge get for Vandy, and I think it's great that they're trying to keep things going post-Pavia. You'd think that the money's there among the alumni, wouldn't you?
But they've still got a ways to go to have a solid SEC roster. Even with Curtis in the boat, their current class is ranked 12th in the SEC. (Per On3, Curtis is the only player in the class with more than a 3-star rating.) And last year's class (including both high school recruits and transfers) was 16th in the SEC (and 72nd nationally). And their roster's talent ranking has been dead last in the SEC for two years running, at least per 247. I guess that makes Pavia's and Lea's success over the past couple of years all the more impressive.
Living in Tennessee, by the way, made Vandy's win in Knoxville all the more glorious to watch. They freaking piled it on, didn't they?
-
And now he says he hasn't flipped to Vandy.
-
Vandy is private and doesn't report so there is no way to know where they rank.

This kid committed to Georgia, then decommitted, then committed back to them, and now has decommitted (or has he?) right before NSD. I will hold my breath on if he turns out alright.
-
Kid said he hasn't spoken to either coach about it yet. I think this may be a bit premature, but it sounds like he's leaning to Vandy. UGA has a performance based system. They don't pay freshman stupid money until they start producing. That's why Tyler Atkinson and other elite Georgia talent are leaving the state.
