Yeah. That was a curious comment he made earlier today about "zero chance I quit". The smoke seemed to be curling then.

It is truly insane.

Yeah. He was daring them to fire him.

I?m putting my Mullen to UK prediction in now.

Although I think Lebby deserves more time. No coach should be fired in 2 years unless they've done something unethical. If there's reason enough to hire them, there's reason enough to give them more than 2 seasons.
Thank you!

As an President or AD, what do you do? You can't lose that kind of money every year. Especially in todays game. Big money boosters have them by the balls. If you don't hire their guy and they cut out the money, you're good as fired.
Back to the leaked video.. Florida's main booster Gary Condron wanted Sumrall over Kiffin. And threatened to stop donating if they didn't hire Sumrall. 15 mill and more a year.
There is a difference between Richard Adkerson telling Keenum and Selmon that they want Dan back and a guy from Madison that lives in Reunion telling them they want Dan back.

Yeah. And then Lebby ****ed him over on senior day and played the guy everyone wanted the whole game and the fans talked about how awesome it was even though we scored fewer points than only one other SEC game this year so I don't know what he's complaining about there. Lebby did what the fans wanted so that should make them happy.

Fcuk Shapen - he?s a paid professional and he needs to act accordingly

I agree 100%. That would be like me telling Selmon who to hire. Hell, I wouldn't even get the time of day from them.
I'm just referring to Selmon or any AD. It seems like their hands are tied.. especially with football. Just seems to me that the big boosters are actually the guys who "make the hire."
It's really no different from companies or anything else that involves big money. Shareholders control companies, not so much the CEO.
And maybe not all universities run that way. I'm just going off how the Florida hire was decided this cycle.

Todd, we've said all year Lebby sees these players every day and he will play the players he thinks give us the best chance to win. He said Shapen would play if 100%. Apparently he didn't think he was so he went with KT. The fact it was senior day is irrelevant. So Lebby did not 17 him over. He did what coaches are supposed to do. Grown people should not act like petulant children even when they're pissed.

Agree with Ed here. Lebby didn't play Shapen because the fans wanted him to. Lebby made that decision because he thought KT gave us the best chance to win. Imo Shapen doesn't score anymore points that KT did. OM got pressure all day and Shaoen would have been sacked 6+ times. KT missed throws but Shapen also does. In the end, it wouldn't have mattered. We got to see the future if we can keep him.
I understand your point about Senior Day. But in the end it's a business. Even more now than ever. I'm glad he went with KT. 380 yards of offense isn't too bad. Especially with our O line.

Shapen also went through Senior day last year.

I'm not complaining about it. I'm wondering why someone else was.
But yeah- he did **** him over. Could have had him take the first snap and sat him. Lebby didn't do it but that's his business.
I do think it proves my point that our fans value QB running too much when we played a guy who couldn't complete 50% of his passes the whole game and we scored fewer points and we have fans that talk about how it was the right move.

The 26 PPG in SEC play coming in to the 19 we scored says otherwise. I think the "right thing" to do was to play both.
My hope is now that KT has the reigns and improves as a passer that our fans will come around. But they probably won't.

Dangit. Should have known. Those two are the closest to be the same as any two QBs we have had in recent memory.

He couldnt complete 50% and it was our 2nd worst scoring day this season and our fans act like he put on a Heisman performance- lol. It's hilarious

Lebby didn't do anything to Shapen. Shapen earned his warm seat on the bench.

Why is only the Lebby supporters who are saying Lebby was wrong to play Taylor over Shapen in the Egg Bowl? If you really think he succumbed to fan pressure and made a decision that made us less likely to win, shouldn't that be yet another reason to want to move on from him?
