We have as our starting QB, a great kid, local in MS.
Ole Miss will be in a scramble for an offensive guy. We will revamp our defense, hopefully , in this portal and coaching hires.
Time to get OUR STATE back.

Honestly it sounds like they might be leaning towards hiring Golding. Which kind of sounds of familiar doesn't it?

Yikes I hope not Fisch would be a better hire than UF and Auburn and Ark made. Why would he leave UDUB to go there? UDUB is a better football program overall

Yes it is, but the Confederacy is libel to panic and throw the bank at someone.

These are the type hires I wish we would have made. Guys who have successfully run FBS programs even though at the G5 level. It just seems like Lebby is just feeling his way through all this flying by the seat of his pants on the HC stuff.

We have really beat this dead horse for two years now. The monster up north has been dismantled. Let?s get behind Lebby, buy our tickets, and reclaim MS for about 5 years.

I really believe we are basically one good DC away. We have the money coming in.

If we don't hire a new, competent DC, that answers my thread and we need to gut the entire Leadership team.

Agree 100%. And special teams coach. I think we'll make changes though. I just wish we would go ahead and announce it.

My biggest concern is the portal. Lebby will need a new 30-35 million dollar roster to save his job. Otherwise, he will need to land the best DC in the country, sooner rather than later. The portal is going to be depleted extremely fast with all these new coaches looking to make splashes.

We have to move with purpose here. Make a statement we are committed to this thing and make something good happen for the program. The timeline is tight and we know it.

Yep. If there ever was a huge bang for your buck to spend it is now. Flipping players from OM roster is worth every penny because of the perception in addition to the roster adds.

I don’t give any 17s whose roster it is we need to solidify the staff, and attract talent period. Get this staff set sooner rather than later. We need bodies that can play.

State will not seize the opportunity. They never do. It has nothing to do with coach, administration, or staff. Those change but the results are always the same. We have big boosters who are always looking for a discount so we get discount results.
