I am of the opinion now that Fla is a dead end. It looks shiny on the outside but is really rotten to the core. There is no reason that the last couple of guys they hired haven’t succeeded. They were good coaches that built respectable programs at places that are hard to do that yet they were both fired. Something not right there.

I agree. Especially the Mullen tenure there. He should have killed it with their "supposed resources".

Mullen was a few years too early. His biggest weakness (recruiting) would be canceled out now.

You still have to recruit there. Florida State and Miami are not going to let Florida just have the run of the state. And maybe Napier was just overrated?
I still wouldn't be surprised if they end up with Sumrall.

Offshore markets say this is not the case. We shall see.

I mean, he's not wrong. If Mullen were here or Florida today, he wouldn't have to recruit which he hated. He would tell us who to buy and he was a genius at finding players that no one else would be over paying for. (And no, I'm certainly not advocating for Mullen to return)

You do have to recruit more now that ever, it’s almost non stop now. You are not only going after new talent but you are constantly having to recruit your own. This new cycle of things is actually worse than before. You are back channeling guys your tampering with and fighting it off on the other side. It’s the wild damn west.

What are they saying OM or bama? With rumors of KD to Penn st surfacing, I could see lane ditch OM and lsu for bama. I'll stick with my guy though... he was adamant that lane is leaving OM

I don't think Bama will have Lame, but that would be soooo damn awesome!!!! I work offshore and live in Mississippi. I'm surrounded by insufferable bastards.

Ok, I can see that. I was just picturing it more like NFL. "Hey, let's buy that cornerback " etc......

If it was only that easy. It’s definitely not like they are sitting on the shelf, but I can’t see how you can think that easily.

YES, they would at this juncture. They screwed up not hiring him when they hired DeBoer and their alum will tell you that. Their fan base knows LSU is getting a damn good coach and they are scared shitless.
