OM knows this will be devastating if he leaves. Fans tired of him will love him immediately if he were to stay.
Every HC should look out for themselves first. A school will fire any of them in a heart beat if things go sideways

I don't get all this talk about PR and brand. Lane ain't selling anything, and he has multiple job offers to be the highest paid coach in America. Now feeding his ego? That's different.

Jordan, it’s simple, the more his name is the headline of the day the bigger the brand the more swagger and more kids you can pull into your program. More $$$ from big booster all the way to the Jeanfreauxs from Belle Chase. They are going to over expose this for ever ounce they can.

Chase Parham reporting that Carter and Kiffin will meet this afternoon, I have been told sometime between 12 and 12:30 to get his final decision. OM is preparing for that decision to be he goes to LSU. LSU is having a final call with Kiffin to get the word officially. LSU has already started making calls to have a jet in Oxford by 5 PM.

He stonewalled KC all he could and finally responded to a text.

Any word on when we can expect an announcement on Hutzler? I assume it would probably be after signing day?

Would really hope it's Monday. I don't see any value in keeping him through signing day

I expect things to start leaking tonight into tomorrow with official stuff coming next week.

You have Saban and Herbstreit saying that Kiffin should be allowed to coach Ole Miss in a playoff game trying to help their buddy out.

That would be great! Have you heard names of who are some potential replacements? Also is Kendal Briles legit possibility? I know Lebby takes pride in play calling duties.

Eh. LSU will still get whoever they want in Louisiana no matter who is coaching. And Kiffin will without question bring some Ole Miss players with him. I'm sure those discussions have already been had.

Kendall is Lebby’s brother in law. I know for a fact he would cede play calling to Kendall.

If he will do that and bring in a legit DC and upgrade other defensive position coaches that would be great

Outside of Art, Kendall is the only coach Lebby should consider giving up play calling to hire. However, It?s more of a luxury than a need. If we have the financial commitment to do it, then do it. Otherwise, you have to pay up for a DC.

Agree 100%. That or pivot and bring in Joe Jon Finley who helped him at Oklahoma.
