    ISU is a final 4 quality team - veterans too. If we hadn't played so sloppy with TO we could have played with them.

    Our team is just very raw and no chemistry yet. I've not given up on them yet. When you got Hubbard and Epps one of best backcourts in SEC, you got a chance.

    We definitely made it easy for Iowa State, but I?m not sure about Epps & Hubb being one of the best backcourts in the country. We need bigger perimeter players in my opinion.

    Yes. We do not have one of the best backcourts in the country. We are probably middle of the pac in the SEC. Hubbard scores but he doesnt defend all that well. Epps is solid for sure.

I'm surprised Nwoko is doing so well at LSU, which makes me wonder why it seems a change of venue away from Starkville is what it takes for some other coach to get the most out of our players after they transfer - what are we doing wrong?

    And it's not just basketball, just to name a few...
    - Slate Alford turned into a great teammate with high offensive output at UGA on the diamond the last 2 years;
    - Mario Craver with aTm this year (although we did upgrade with Brenen Thompson imo);
    - Sawyer Roberson at Baylor;
    - Woody Marks at USC several years back;
    - Garrett Schraeder to Syracuse several years back;

    I'm sure there are others that I'm missing but these come to mind right off.
    Good points but Jans lost all this this past season other than Trey Fort who transferred the year before.. thats a heck of alot of talent we lost in a very short period of time. We lose guys and they go to other schools and lead them in scoring. Jans didnt replace what we lost well at all. The examples you gave ( while accurate) were several years apart..

    Basically we have a roster of 1 SEC level player in Hubbard. A borderline one in Eppes and then a bunch of players that are not really G5 talent. Grace and Fleming are raw freshmen and Bartlett decided to not show up ready so that is why we are in this situation.

    Two fluke wins against OU and Texsa. Get this bum out of here. He's made Josh worse

    MSU sports just seems to be one disappointment after another right now. Please give us something to be proud of Coach O'Connor. Baseball is our only hope.

    It’s sad our only hope is the most boring sport to ever exist.

    What's sad is we are lifelong State fanatics and now we just don't care that much anymore.

    Just make the free throws and we are all happy. Hub gets frustrated with all the bigger guys face guarding him. He is a liability on defense. I would like for King Grace to play more.

    The issue is that our offense runs through Josh. Grace also is still learning D.

    "Just make the free throws"

    Broken record and we get worse at those year over year. I don't care what anyone says - Free throws are the easiest thing in the world to coach in an offseason. If you suck at it - shoot it granny style. It is mathematically easier to make. If a guy whines - then tell him he can go back to normal shooting when he's made 100 in a row from his normal stance.

    Simple concept. Our coach doesn't value free points.

    I can't comprehend how D-1 basketball players can't make free throws. This has been a staple of our team for half a decade now. Kickers are more accurate at 60+ yards than our players making free throws.

    Edited to say I know they'll never be 100% at making them. But we have been horrendous at free throws for 4 years now that I can remember. Maybe even longer. How many more wins would we have if we made free throws at a more frequent rate? Or average rate?
