Egg Bowl Prediction Thread-Is Lane Singing Garth or Dixie on Saturday Night?

Well Egg Bowl Week has arrived and Lane has definitely made this one FAR MORE intriguing with his will he/won't he dance he seems to do every 2 years. I don't have a great feeling about this one, but then again I have not had a great feeling about the last 2 Egg Bowls and we've lost by a combined 22 points, which wouldn't have even covered last year's line. There's a window for us to win this one, albeit a small one. We have to get going early, i.e. scoring a TD on the first drive, and Kamario has to be HEAVILY involved in the game plan. I've heard some things this week that make me believe we may go Blake for the first series and then Kamario the rest of the way. Which, honestly, is not the worst idea. We've been very good with Blake on the first drive with how scripted it is. It's the other drives that seems to give us issues. I think Kamario gives us the best chance to win. Whoever it is, we're going to have to protect them and give the deep shots time to develop. Thompson and Evans could go wild on their secondary if given time. Their secondary is leaky at best. It's honestly really bad and is susceptible to the deep ball.

On Defense, it's all about stopping Lacy. We have been putrid against the run in conference play, outside of the TX game. That's a definite concern and something that Hutzler is going to have to figure out. I think the easiest thing is just do the exact opposite of what we did last year. Last year we dared them to run, this year we may need to dare them to pass. Chambliss doesn't make a ton of mistakes, but he's gotten away with 5-6 throws this year that could've changed the course of their season. You have to capitalize on those.

On Special teams, just don't 17 up. I don't think I'm asking that much, but lately that's been a big ask for our ST.

I have a bad feeling I'll be dead wrong, but 31-27 DAWGS.

    Kamario TDs-3
    Thompson and Evans Combined Yds-215
Amount of Fingers flipping off Lane Kiffin at the end of the game-110K

PS: If you have tickets....SHOW UP. We need everyone there if they are going to try and take over the stadium.

I haven?t picked against MSU all year and I?m surely not going to start now against our rival. I believe we will see KT in the game early because he is the future of this program. Hoping to find that KT will be the re-incarnation of The Rebel Killer Chris Relf.

Lane will come out unprepared and unmotivated. Hopefully it transfers to the team but our guys will have no problem getting up for this one. Weve played good ball against good teams this year and that wont change Friday. Even without the Lane sweepstakes this one was going to be competitive.

Lane is going to beat us like a red headed step-child, unless we start KT. They are not focused on transferring - they currently have a shot at a Title and Lane is using the media and the drama to keep the focus off the players. I can't believe how many of our fans are falling for this. He ain't leaving before the playoffs.

KC says he won't coach a playoff game without signing the extension. Are you saying Lane is staying there?

I've taken a step back from our sports since the Missouri game. That CATASTROPHE really stung for a while; I was pissed. Now hopefully with a more rational view, I'm in a place where I believe we CAN win this one.

Ole Piss is going to get their thirty points. Lacy is going to resurrect the Hardy nightmare just not to that extent. If Lame has half a brain, Lacy will get thirty carries and average 7.0 yards a carry. Thus he will be over two hundred yards. So the Landsharts will get their thirty points.

But if we can find a way between Shapen and KT to get 33 points and I think we can, we can win this thing. It will be close but I'm planting the Maroon and White at midfield after a 33-30 Egg Bowl win. It will be EPIC, simultaneously sending Kitten out with a loss to the rival and torching their playoff hopes. Losing Lame to LSU, losing the Egg Bowl and falling out of the playoff will send Landshart Nation into a legendary meltdown.

Can't wait to see it happen. Hail17ingState!!!

I have zero confidence in our defense to slow down Lacy.

I'm also afraid Lebby continues to coach like an offensive coordinator instead of a head coach and makes a boneheaded decision that costs us like he has a few times this year.

    38-28 OM.

    The KKK 34 Rednecks 30

Shapen starts and plays all the thru the game. KT plays more than he has all season. We also put them both on the field at the same time with some wrinkles.

We play hard and play our ass off. We just arent able to stop the run in big situations when we have to.

I won't allow the football gods to drag me back in. There's a flicker of hope but I keep dousing it out so I'm not crushed yet again. Hope the Dawgs win!

Lacy is going to be a major problem. Our defense has been non existent the last two games. UGA they get a pass because it?s UGA but that performance against a Mizzou team that does not have a great offense is really concerning. I just don?t have enough confidence we can win a track race with them because of our OL situation
