It is so hard to watch women?s basketball.

31 points in the 1st qtr

    2 in first 6.5 of the 2nd.

It is just painful to watch the missed shots 2 feet from the goal.

2 points in the 2nd qtr. That is embarrassing for a junior high team.

    Halftime
    Miss. State 33
    Texas Tech 31

Miss. State missing easy shot after easy shot (including point blank) near non stop. Basically let the other team back into the game.Near total collapse.

I quit watching also. We came out and played smooth as silk in the first. The second we played rough as a corn cob and totally out of control. It?s just to painful and agonizing to watch.. I?m going to Gunsmoke.

    Final
    Miss. State 62
    Texas Tech 69

Huge issues with officiating went against Miss. State but still they pretty much gave the game away themselves.

Some of the worst 'basketball' I've ever watched. I won't make that mistake again.

Some of the fouls were frustrating but Texas Tech was simply out toughing us the last three quarters, especially against the younger players. Incredibly disappointing loss. This is one that could have really helped on our resume in March and one we could have won. However this is a very good Texas Tech team. They baited our inexperienced players into some silly fouls. M Francis, J Lampley and A Fane looked shell shocked many times. They each have to refine their games because they are very talented and can help us as the season progresses. The first two have the best combination of size and talent (outside of F Nwaedozi) on the team.

Still say that this team is very capable of making a deep NCAA run (elite 8 and beyond)come March. This is one of the most athletic teams in the NCAA women's basketball game this season. Freshman Madison Francis is the best player on this team. Defense appears stout with the potential to be really good. . Gotta keep getting Francis her touches..even more. Gotta keep playing Lampley, getting her the ball. Richardson had her best game, she's starting to come on. Nwaedozi didnt have her typical game, growing pains but she'll be fine. Prater continues solid. Gotta get the point guard situation stabilized. Gotta figure out ways to get Mcphaul more involved offensively. Coach Schaefer was really good at Miss. State in putting Jordan Danberry in position to be successful offensively...penetrating. Need both transfers Crisp and Richardson plaing the best basketball of their careers..this season. Keep bringing juco transfer Awa Fane along. Get transfer Saniyah King fully healty. Take much better care of the basketball.

Need to figure a way to get Nataliyah Gray in the mix...she can fill it up. She's way too talented to be on the bench. Possibly experiment with Francis at the 3 and/or 2 spots and move one of the other freshmen or Nwaedozi to Francis's spot (4 spot) atleast at times. Francis can definitely play well at the either the 3 or 2 spots if needed. Can move Francis around not limiting her to a single position...shes that good..
Continue to get 6-7 Rocio Jimenez more game experience. gonna need her come SEC and NCAA Tourney time. Prater continues to appear ..solid veteran. Faith Wylder- haven't seen much from her thus far but we shall continue to observe her development and utilization as the season moves forward.

Madison Francis reminds me of Dontae' Jones. Remember early in the season that he led Miss. State to the SEC Tourney Championship and NCAA Final 4...he started out the season kind of similar to the way Madison is playing showing flashes of great athleticism, high talent level and potential but didn't explode until SEC and NCAA Tourneys...looked seemingly unstoppable until that Syracuse zone was utilized by coach Jim Boeheim in the Final 4 semi's. I see Francis as a player that could likewise explode on to the women's college basketball scene come post sseason. She's that talented and with through the roof athleticism.

I wonder if they practice layups and hurryup layups at practice?
