All that said, the last two games are a trend that can get a coach fired. We have looked unprepared and unmotivated. Both teams were better than us but so were ASU, UT, Texas, and UF. I think Lebby is here next year but losing something like 50-10 on your home field can motivate people.

Lebby desperately needs this team to at minimum be competitive which we haven't seen in a while. Even the Arkansas win, without all of those penalties, we don't have a chance to win.
In zero of the situations you are mentioning did we have an interim HC. I did see any lack of prep or non-motivated players in the last two, I did see us get pushed around by much more physical, deeper football teams. I was so easy to see on the 7 tries inside the 10, they gave us a light box we made the correct read and got whipped by two different guys defeating a double team. We matched up way better with UT, UF and Tenn, ASU should have run it at us all night. Miz and UGA ground us into the turf like they should have.

We have been bad against the run all year. I'm glad other teams didnt figure this out in the 1st half of the season. Our DL is not very good and was really hurt losing our best one so early in the season

Hope our team digs deep here, but ole miss could run that goal line, linemen in backfield , the whole game.

Straight fact, if an interim wins, he has the same number of SEC wins as Lebby in 2 years.

IF the game is close in the second half, the decisions of an interim, and lack of flow with the coordinators does make a difference.
not a fair comparison...Lebby hasn't had a chance to coach against a Lebby coached team.

What part do you not care about?
Who is coaching as an intern.

First: If the confederates put Joe Judge in the interim roll this will hardly be a typical interim coach for college football at any level, he's kinda been there and done that if you follow me. Now let me expound my premise, we as a whole lack the fortitude to do what is necessary for our football program to succeed. As I have before posted here, we are MSU, it's not athletics or foundation or academics or even facilities as separate things, its all us. We are the face of how we are perceived and we suck at it. We have our own part to play, but due to pettiness, division, lack of vision and overall a loser mentality that pervades the football program we very rarely uphold our end. We are the world champion's of fixing the blame and not even attempting to fixing the problem. Instead of finding a away to build a better system, we continue to fight the fight the same old way and are mystified when we get out dicks knocked up into our own watch pocket. I for one find that extraordinarily 17ing stupid.

most likely no one. Ole Miss will probably keep Lane until the egg bowl and secure a bye in the playoffs, but if he was to be put on leave next week, it is Joe Judge most likely.

If JUdge is selected over the field assistants that could create a problem. Plus a few will be thinking about other jobs as will players. Focus could be a problem.
Hell, Kiffin may be reaching out a few next week. LOL

Kiffin will be poaching players too. This could be an epic meltdown of Rebel football. MSU might even want to chip in to help.

What is the fortitude we, all us fans here, need ?
What set you off for this thread, because I cannot tell if you are going off about this thread or just bitter at MSU fans no matter who posts.

The more this thing simmers the worse it gets. Lane is trolling his own fans right now, fans are mad back. This divorce is going to end badly now. It might have passed but stuff if flying now.

If anything it drives up the sales tax they will have to pay to keep the roster in tact.

I dont really think he is trolling but is trying to figure out what he wants to do- and at the same time trying to leave Grenada Without the Lake with friendships and goodwill in check. We all know that is not possible with that bunch

When your baby mama, son and agent are flown in to look at high schools, campuses and neighborhoods it is no longing trolling. It is serious.

Lane knows this is it. Sexton has told him this is the time to make a move.

We had an interim take over in 2022 and beat a better Iowa team with a top D

Interim's usually do pretty well because they have been there
Didn?t we lose to Iowa though?

Old Miss could play at 80 percent effort and have a pretty good chance to win. This is another problem with having one year transfers. They don't give a damn about this game. We have more to play for here, but would our transfers even know which direction Oxford is from Starkville...

We played an unranked Illinois on 1/1/2023. We were ranked and better.
