Our NIL funding is increasing. With a ton of movement this offseason yes, we can build an offensive line and defensive line in the offseason. We upgraded at the skill positions with the portal and that's the one area of historical weakness for MSU.
Maybe we shouldn't have hired an offensive line coach after the portal and maybe we should have a DL coach that is cool with the portal? Those are separate issues. But correctable.

How do you know? Do you have statements from the big boosters who say they are giving more for 2026?

We've had multiple announcements for football only donations. I think we got a million dollar donation this week.

Well, I guess we'll find out in a few months if we get the portal haul you're expecting or not. I hope we do.

I think they will be because of the environment. I doubt the coaching gets them riled up. They're not listening to Lebby at this point. It's up to the seniors to get this team going.

I don't doubt Lebby will be back next year. It's probably his last. He's lost this team imo.

I doubt very many State fans would see it that way after he managed to bring in O?Connor and give O?Connor Carte Blanche to go get a team built for Omaha!
Selmon did what he was told by the cheapskates in charge. Go hire another Coordinator and pay him base NCAA P4 salary and give him a couple million to hire a staff and he hired what a couple of $million would get us. There is guaranteed $40 plus million coming into the program from the SEC that is generated solely from Football Revenue from TV and Media. But we have fans on here asking a base that probably averages $65,000 income between the still employed and the retirees/fixed incomers to dig into their pockets to pay millionaire coaches and future millionaire 20 something?s.
The tank and file Ole Miss fans are not toting the load for Kiffin! Multi-millionaires are. The same has to happen at State. Time for the NFL guys to give back. If they agree, honor them at games and name the damn water tower or parking garage for them. If they refuse, cut em loose and stop putting their damn pictures on the Jumbotrons!

Because it's easier to sell 5-7 with a three game win improvement and a talented young QB than it is 2-10.

Just so y'all know.. I ain't saying hire BYU coach. Just putting out there what my son said. Lol
It would have to be someone "LIKE" BYU's coach because anyone that thinks Sitake would leave BYU for MSU is residing in La-La Land.

And the congregation said amen!
Great post. It's mind boggling to see people are blaming the fans for Lebby and his horrible decisions because we don't give enough money. The multimillion dollar NFL players that got to the NFL because the university gave them a chance should be getting criticized about the NIL ordeal. Although I don't believe anyone should get criticized over it cause ultimately it's their money to do as they please. NIL has nothing to do with coaching malpractice.
