OL
how much would having just an average OL change things? Obviously game planning and play calling would be different. Would Lebby?s and Shapen?s play calling, decision making, and play be considerably better? When the qb can?t even get into his drop on regular occasions, there isn?t much hope for success.
We definitely need to get a new OL coach and find some money for some linemen. That is obviously priority number 1.

The O line looks significantly less bad with Kamario. Not great, but not helpless. Surely our HC can see that

Getting stuffed 5 times in a row at the 3 yard line did not look good on on the lines reputation.

OL and DL need serious upgrades. A slightly above average OL and DL and we are already going bowling before last night.

I place more blame on the lack of creativity

KT with a sneak scores. Put an OL behind him and push. You can’t shotgun snap when your OL can’t get any push. Our QB is getting hit two yards back. We have fastest man in football, how about a quick pitch and run to the pylon?

That take imagination and we don't have any. Welcome to the RPO where the coach can blame the player/ Enough of this well we take what the defense gives us. How about if they stuff the Guard center gap because thats the only play that we run down there we pitch it or throw to the TE.

I can’t and won’t argue the shotgun part, but I don’t think our OL can get any push so I’m not sure being under center would help much. The fastest man’s speed is negated quite a bit the closer to the goal line that you get. It is painfully obvious how important an OL and DL for that matter is in the red zone.
My biggest question for Lebby would be about the order of importance we put on portal players. It seems like we did pretty good with the skill positions on both sides; but the lines have been an afterthought. I think most would build a team starting with the lines but it looks like we went the opposite direction. That said, we may have tried and just not been able to get anyone for the lines.

The OL was not only helpless last night, they were prison raped. I'd love to know what the differences are between what Mizzou does in the weight room and what we do in the weight room. Same goes for the DL. Something isn't up to standard. It's plain as day.

Those plays inside the 10.... The QBs made the right reads based on numbers, but our OL is just so bad they cant win when we have the numbers.

That means the coach didn?t account for the bad ol and call a different play. How many times have we ran any screens. Strong D lines know they can blow by us so use it to our advantage. Simple coaching.

Yep. Coaching decisions lost this season.

I thought state had a center to hike the ball and 4 to 5 tackling dummies for the defense to run over.

OL is about the timing of when he hired Loadholt and the portal. I expect that to improve in the offseason. DL? I have no idea why in the hell they brought David Turner back. That was a surprise to me. I expect to see a change there in the offseason going off of logic.

But,but Lebby hired a friend/connection from Colorado and they had a horrible OL last year as Sanders was accused of holding the ball too long, much like Shapen. Small world ,huh?
He also hired a friend Hutzler, who again has us at the bottom of the SEC in defense. OTJ training HC hiring OTJ DC, who was LB/ST coach from bama to be a SEC first time DC and doubling down on him year 2. What could possibly go wrong?***. BTW, I love a three man DL of cast off portal players (except the injured Whitson who still leads us in sacks after playing only about two games), who can't stop the run or get pressure on the opposing QB.***

The OL cant block or move air!
They stand straight up and refuse to move their feet, which leads to the RB's running up their backs because there is no movement at all.
Another other frustrating thing that I noticed is that they are the only OL group in college football that will not follow the RB and push the pile forward...they just stand there and watch the defense maul the RB's.
All of this is the lack of normal high school level coaching.
There must be wholesale changes if State is serious about wanting to win.
Love All Worship One!
Go Dawgz!

Yes, the OL is basically our entire offensive issue. They cannot pass nor run block. It is the entire issue we see on the field. The entire issue is the OL. Texas game, OL. Florida game, OL. Tenn game, OL. Missouri game, OL and playcalling.
