At this point the Thorpe award just goes to a DB on a good team. It doesn't go to the best DB anymore. Kelley also doesn't have but 2 INTs on the year. Now if he got 2-3 over the next 2 weeks he could play himself into that convo. The Thorpe award candidates aren't all that great this year.

Exactly. You wanna get more good players, then put some in the nfl

Cornerback U continues to roll them off the production line. We should really be embracing that and marketing ourselves with it. We've put a ton of elite corners into the league going all the way back to the early 90s.

The int thing is because his man is never open. Jones could be the best CB to play at MSU and we've had some good ones. I haven't seen anyone better play this year.

His catch up speed and length are elite. Even if he's beaten by a step he can make it up. He has a crazy number of pbu.

He plays the ball better than any DB I've seen in a long time on any team at this level

Congrats Kelly! I'm not surprised having watched him play all season. I figured this would happen since he plays a premium position.
