This coach carousel is only just getting started. If Sark leaves Texas for the NFL. Then you have a full feeding frenzy for college coach agents.
Texas Longhorns can redefine the market. Wonder if Lincoln Riley quits USC before USC quits him. He was awesome at Oklahoma won 3 big 12s and 2 Heisman QBs and did great things with Jalen Hurts into a NFL QB.... coaching Texas brings him back to the Southwest and is only 96 miles from Norman.
Texas Longhorns, USC, Florida, UCLA, Penn State, LSU and Various NFL teams.

And his non answer to the leaving question yesterday just puts more rumors out there. He could have said yesterday this all about nothing and I am staying at OM.
-
Media- keep asking him each week - and post in social media so their players have to get worn out with it.

Yep he’s simply keeping his options open. Don’t blame him. I’m sure it’s frustrating for the OM faithful but they know he holds all the cards.

Exactly. Why would Lane sign an extension now? I mean let's say they make the playoffs and win a game....that probably ups the offer a mil or so. What if they win two games?
The point being, why would he short himself, potentially, 3-4 million dollars?

He's getting a raise regardless- making the playoff wont really affect how much. It's no secret schools are talking to Sexton. Cignetti signed an extension and raise a few days after Penn State came open. He is where he wants to be. It's not hard to figure out if your guy is negotiating with others or not.

Lame:
1. Loves the state of Florida and living there
2. Married the princess of Fla royalty who is a Fla grad
3. Has reconciled with the princess and brought the family back together
4. Would get basically anything he asks for from Fla
5. Pay would be about the same
6. Less job security down the line
7. More high profile job

The pay would not be the same as Florida has no state income tax. That makes a difference, even to the rich.

Maybe just rumor, but the bears have some work around on that already in place.

Hmmm ....... 'workaround'. So that's the euphemism for 'privileged' now. *****

A guy donated 20M strictly to go to Lames salary. I think he's playing chess with both florida and LSU's portal and signing classes etc. Rumor is he signs a deal with keith carter next week but if they reach a verbal then he continues toying with and raiding other teams players.

Keith Carter wants his signature on a piece of paper right now, not his word that he will sign it in the near future.
His name is up for two top college jobs and a possible job in the NFL. Players are not that dumb and their handlers certainly are not that dumb. If they are interested in transferring to OM they are waiting for the ink to dry first.

I mean come on. The only coach interested in the DII National Champion QB and he is not just a Crazy Diamond, He is Pink Floyd?s Shine On Crazy Diamond!!!
With that kind of offense anything can happen, which would be every DOGS nightmare.....om winning a modern NC. I still hold hope just because the last two years it was a game.......I would think om faithful would swamp Dogtown.....but they truly hate it so much, and feel like going there is beneath them....maybe that will keep their numbers down a little.

They might try to "announce" something, but hard to imagine he signs unless it is still the silly low buyout.

Great points. But if you pay me $10 mil or more per year, job security is not even on my list of cons. Lol
Fire my ass!!!!!

This is laughable man. They are the #1 reason we can't get in state DLineman anymore

I mean, number 2 is probably money and 3 is Turner. We probably wouldn’t get them even if OM lost Lane. Probably just be Auburn, Bama, and Texas schools

In coaching circles- David Turner is considered a gold standard guy on the DL. He is in no way a problem with us getting guys on the DL. Money money money is way more important
