If he shows in the next two games that he can do it, then absolutely. He is about to be on a two game tryout. If he is as good as he, and his father, thinks he is then he should have no problem going 2-0 and leading us to 7 wins.

With all due respect, that is a silly expectation. The QB doesn't win games alone and this is not the best supporting cast yet. Lebby has work to do in the portal.

I hope we never sign a qb that isn't confident

KT is special. He has freak show talent. We needed three QB's regardless so I don't really think it was a miss technically. He's doing what we asked him to do essentially and he got beat out by Superman.

FWIW, Taylor put up an 85.5 qbr today. That puts his season qbr at 93.4. He doesn't qualify, but that would rank him #1 nationally. He's certainly raw, but the playmaking ability is off the charts. If we don't cater to him some this offseason, someone will

KT way better than Shapen today. KT 21 pts in 1.5 qtrs, Shapen 0 in 2.5

Shapen would have had 4 more sacks if he had played KT snaps

One of those TD's was a drive led by Shapen.

As I said above, I would make him QB1 after the season and go get a backup. I believe KT can be the best we've ever had.

He has. Not sure he can keep it up, but his qbr is off the charts. When given opportunities the last 2 weeks, the offense has responded

He takes some of the load off the other guys. No disrespect to Shapen, the O line is sh!t, but he and that OLine are a bad mix. Is anyone saying we should fire Loadholt or is this not really his fault? I don’t know anything. Legitimate question.

There's no college in the country that has a sure starter in the wing bringing in competition to compete to take their job.. That's not how the portal works. It's also not a recipe for success. No playoff team has done this. And before you throw out Ole Miss that didn't happen. Chambliss took advantage of an opportunity via injury and hasn't looked back.

This is what people do not want to admit, or they do not understand. Honestly understand is the more likely scenario because we have some LOW IQ fans. Like to the point of where I question whether they played past pee wee. Our O Line and Shapen are just a bad mix. That does not make Shapen a bad QB. Also it is 1000% NOT the fault of Phil Loadholt. He got here in January. Unfortunately it again goes back to Mike Leach. He recruited a different type of OL. When we went away from that, those lineman became useless. Add in to that some god awful evals from that staff and the next and we are in the situation we are in having to depend on JUCO guys, guys that need development, and guys playing out of position.

What does his father have to do with anything? It's clear you don't like KT but asinine to think we could just go out and find another talent like him. Didn't you say the FSU transfer was the backup? Wrongggggg...KT is the now and the future. I agree with his father who only cares for his son like he's supposed to.

But had Ole Miss said, “Nah we got Simmons. We are good.” They are AT BEST 6-3 right now. You go make your team better. You do not just stock say Kamario is the answer and move on. Do I think he is? Yes. Do I know it? Not at all. He could be the next Cam Newton or he could be the next Jeremy Johnson. He could be the next Hendon Hooker or he could be the next Joe Milton.

His dad tweets incessantly that his son is Cam Newton reincarnated and then when people call him out on it he claims he is talking about his other son. He also keeps threatening transfer. Sounds like a couple of other helicopter QB parents.

Ole Miss brought him in for straight depth. Kiffin even stated he didn't know he was this good. If we're bringing in depth that's understandable and that's where it ends. There's no legitimate team doing what you're suggesting.

That has NOTHING to do with KT. His dad is a grown man speaking for himself. If KT hasn't said it don't worry about it. I've read his mother's Facebook post stating KT is where he wants to be. So who do you believe? Until the player says he's upset I don't worry about parents opinions.

Why do you keep bringing up Ole Miss? They brought in a low cost transfer for depth. He wasn?t brought in with expectations to beat out Simmons. Thats the opposite of what you are suggesting we do. Maybe you are one of the low iq fans.
