you should know as much as anyone that in order to lead any group or a team...much less 18-24 yr old young men...you must project confidence, knowledge, and inspire. and i'm not talking about fake projection, you have to really give off those inherent traits. and no one can spot a fake faster than a group of young people on a sports team. i've witnessed it so many times where the exact same words from two different individuals have vastly different effects on a team. the players must have confidence and belief that their leader is competent and can back up what they are trying to say. i just find it hard to believe that anyone and i mean ANYONE that has been in the coaching realm of the sports world couldn't spot the phoniness in JoMo from second 1.
I started having my doubts when everyone was getting excited about his offense and I took one look and said, "Nick can't run 95% of this."
Of course everyone called me an idiot and said it really wasn't that difficult of an offense to learn.

James Franklin did. It took the first few games of Joe's first year at Penn State. He realized Joe's offense was all talk and smoke and mirrors. Fortunately, he had Saquon Barkley.
That's why he gave Cohen a glowing review, helped Joe pack the moving van and set the GPS for Starkville personally.

Nick really struggled picking up any offense. He legitimately has NFL QB talent but there's a major reason why he never played in the NFL.

Moorhead's offense relied on the defense being slower than an SEC defense to read. He lost me at UK when he kept leaving the first round DE one on one with Fitz dropping back and passing 40 times. It didn't take a genius to figure out to at least chip the guy.

Moorhead struggled to understand the difference between what worked on the white-board versus what actually worked on the field. On the white-board, I can be left tackle and block TJ Watt. On the field he will run my ass over so you better give me tons of help. Also, concepts and reads seem so simple to the offensive-minded coach on the white-board. But can your players make those reads? If so, will the QB and receiver each read them the same way?

Simple - Moorehead absolutely sucks as a coach. He sucked here and he has been horrible at Akron. It's not about "his offense" or anything cute like that. He absolutely sucks. The team was fat, lazy, and out of shape when they took the field after his first offseason. They were extremely undisciplined and lacked direction. There are no excuses other than he is a terrible coach.
Now, let's get back to some real coaching rumors!!!!!
Does Malzahn end up with a HC job this time? I thought he was a great coach at Auburn.

Gus doesn't want a HC job anymore. He's happy being an OC.

Maybe true, but he inarguably had the greatest @$$ kicking of the Ditch that I have ever seen.....Chris Relf was probably second best in Dogtown, Mullen’s first year.....

Mr. Sam was a massive Razorback fan, but the rest of the kids and grandkids really don't give a rip about it tbh
Apparently the university has been pitching to the Waltons (and others) the possibility of college football moving to a super conference in 2030 and the disastrous impact it would have on the local economy if Arkansas doesn?t step up financially and put themselves in a better position to be included in that by then. Just being an SEC school benefits the surrounding area so much for each university, and Alabama attracts merit scholars due to their football success all the time despite not being an outstanding academic school. It?s an interesting play that seems to be getting their attention.
I?ve heard they could go up to $12 million for Franklin with an NIL pool that would be near top 10 in the country.

Fitz is one of the best 20 QB's in SEC history. His stats demand you acknowledge that. He was incredible

Every SEC team will be in any Super Conference that is formed. Too much money in the SEC to leave someone out

Fitz was a HS QB for 1 season before he was signed to be an SEC QB.
Did Fitz party too much a little early on? Yeah he did. But hell, he was a college QB. Who doesnt like partying and *****?
Had Mullen stayed 1 more year with Fitz- he would be right there with Dakota as legends of Miss State. That 2018 team with Mullen wins at least 10 and probably 11

Then those people don?t really understand how the current landscape is set up going forward following the court ruling. Revenue share is real and schools are going to allocate funds where they want to and where they think their fans want it. Now of course it could change next month, and there will be challenges in court, but no one and I mean no one really knows how each school is planning on allocating funds. Now some schools, most in the sec, front loaded their money before the court ruling this past summer but after next season things will look different. People that think Drink would pack up and leave mizzou for Arkansas haven?t paid attention to just how much they are committed to football right now. Mizzou is not interested in going too crazy on basketball and they give zero shits about baseball, so of course football has made a big step in recent years because it allowed more funds to go there.

I think Dan used Fitz extremely well. But even then there were limitations. Remember people wondering why we never threw screen passes with him? Because he would fire the ball at 110 MPH on screen passes for some reason. And I'll tell you something really surprising is Joe actually had Fitz run more than Dan did.

I don't disagree. And to be honest I don't think the partying was really as much an issue as much as the fact that he lacked experience at the position and didn't get much of it in high school.

One thing I want to add about Joe and Fitz- our wide receivers in 2018. Not good. Dan and Billy screwed is there big time.

Those weeks after regular season, and until the playoff game will be fun. I am truly interested how it is handled publicly.
