Womens basketball starts tonight
Our girls will be going up against a pretty good Davidson team. Im interested in seeing how we look with 9 new faces. Early reports are saying that Freshman Madison Francis is the real deal, Lampley is looking good also and our foreign big Favour Nwaedozi has looked very good.

They are not going to be very good. I think they are picked to finish 10th in the SEC but I think it will be worse than that.

I’m as big as supporter of the women’s basketball program as there is and I have generally been pleased with Coach Purcell. However, if he manages to make the postseason with this team, then he has certainly earned his paycheck. The SEC is going to be a grind with a lot of great teams that spend money on women’s basketball NIL. Our school has been more than fair in the share they give the program. Unfortunately, some schools have donors that specifically earmark money to their women’s basketball teams and we simply can’t afford to do that with a non-revenue program.

I agree, he did bring in a top 10 high school class though but obviously they are young.
