I have my own feelings about the entire CK situation (conspiracy theorist I am)....I totally agree with you. They had Barry(obama) and now Erika and TP......the DOGS will HAVE to realize out of state perception is EVERYTHING, and developing schools and major?s besides AG is the future...JMHO...... Excellent post R2

Turning point chooses their own schools to attend. It?s organized partly by the individual chapter at the school. I have a loved one employed by them. The Ole Miss chapter is actually much more active than the MSU chapter. Not trying to be political at all here. The student body at scUM is possibly more conservative than at MSU. Charlie would hand pick the schools he visited.

I have to respectfully disagree.....om was huge Barry supporters during the campaign.....the Head of southern culture studies is a yankee Adam Gussow.......and their faculty is notoriously liberal........and no....I’m not a Vance fan........

To each their own, but MSU did not have a chartered TPUSA chapter until last year and averaged less than 5 attendees. Ole Miss was averaging 15-20 before CK was shot. Now Credit where Credit is due to the Frank Turek event MSU held. It was a good event to have attended. But the engagement for each of the TPUSA accounts between State and OM, OM has almost twice the followers. If you want more detailed info HMU on PM.

Good point....but i contend one small tpusa chapter does not overshadow a majority liberal faculty and law school which is largely largely liberal....JMHO

To your point, maybe they’re more active because they’re in a more hostile environment.

They also hired well known Professor Gad Saad who gets a lot of airtime on conservative media outlets.

They had gotten very liberal under the previous administration.
They are trying to revert back.

Yeah I heard about the Frank Turek event and that was good. Being Kenuum is so politically connected just sad he didn't see the opportunity and push MSU to the front.

I watched parts of it. Erika time was a little odd. Crowd was dead except for the stupid Hotty Toddy cheer which was also weird for her to bring up.

Maybe that’s why Charlie chose OM. Going into hostile territory

His ties seem to have driedup. We'd be better asking Blackburn to help us out

I guess that's not fair to eat as he's gotten us some big contracts lately and got us tied into mc law. That said we need to be going after/ utilizing our alumni better. I'm glad that saw this weakness in athletics and got an AD who knew how to fundraise.

This is such a nothing burger. It will be long forgotten before the first kick on Saturday. Kids, and most parents, aren't glued to FNC and falling for every made up stat on FB like MSU fans.

    In 2024 election:
60% of Lafayette county voted R.
    Oktibbeha county was split 50/50.

I get it's popular to "sports team bad" = "politics team bad", but let's understand the facts. They are the republican county and school. Faculty be damned. It took them until the 21st century to get rid of the plantation owner mascot. They still haven't changed their name. Outside observers look at Ole Miss as the snobby, preppy, racist school. They look at State as the backwoods, country, blue-collar working class school. Which - yea probably fair descriptors. They bring the racist thing on themselves with the noose on Meredith's statue (an incident more people know OM for than for being the first post-shooting event for TPUSA)

Like others have said - hell even some dude with more time on our hands on SPS did the research - no one outside of your social media algorithm designed to make you rage actually gives a damn. Post in thread 'Since the John Bond thread is already locked' https://www.on3.com/boards/threads/since-the-john-bond-thread-is-already-locked.8403533/post-173789618 Post 15 does all the research to see just how little this matters.

OM didn't beat shit. Let's change the title of this thread and close it down. It's only gonna devolve from here and I just don't have the mental bandwidth to do the arguing and then get a timeout.
