Good RPI win
Improved 7 spots to #33 on Warren Nolan.

Thanks for the update. That's a hell of a nice jump for a midweek game. Just what the doctor ordered

Wow, that's a huge jump. We could very well find ourselves close to the top 25 with a good weekend against A&M- need at least 2/3.
-
Where do we need to be to feel comfortable about hosting? Top 20 and at least 3rd or 4th in the conference?

That's about right.

We will sweep the fake maroons, mark my words.

2 of 3 against aTm -- and we won't improve much, if at all, in RPI -- since it's at home and would essentially be going 1.4-1.3. Need the sweep. Get that -- and we're back where we need to be...

True. Forgot to factor in the home-away effect.
2/3 is essentially holding steady, whereas a sweep puts us close to the top 25.

Based on other results tonight, we are now up to #32. 8 spots is a nice jump. It will be tough sledding to raise it significantly going forward unless we just keep winning b/c we don't play any top rated RPI teams other than Bama at #19, but I suspect they will be lower by the time we play them in the last series.
My guess is that we need to win 80% of our remaining games and have some others falter to get our RPI to #20 or higher.

Going into the Alcorn game, we were 40. We won and dropped to 41. We sweep Mizz on the road and climb all the way back up to to 40.
Then...We jump 8 spots after beating UM at a neutral site. The whole system seems a bit off to me.

With the games we have left and who the others have to play we could very well win the West and winning either divisions should get a hosting sight for that school.

SOS makes up 2/3 of RPI...

Boyds World has us at 35. Texas AM is 52. Sweep would be awesome but I'm not expecting it. Sunday (Saturday this week) still makes me nervous.
