I think Lebby is the guy...
Y'all come at me all you want but I think he's doing a good job. I hate to lose more than most but I see what he inherited, where we've been and the landscape....dude is doing a good job. We're a gnat's ass from 6-1 after a 2 win season where we'd weren't competitive. Hell, Tennessee has been in the gutter for over a decade and is just now making it out...we don't have those resources, so if you were expecting a major turnaround instantly your expectations are off. Lebby has made a ton of mistakes but that's to be expected. We lack depth. Just like Ole Miss lacked depth for many years under Kiffen. If we had Fluff or that dude that's out on defense we're probably at 6 wins right now.
Y'all need to be patient. Also, if you're not donating, you're part of the problem and not the solution.

Get out here with the "more than most" garbage

I want to believe Lebby is the guy because my god we are night and day from last year. Last year we played hard but were never competitive. This year, we had 7-1 on the racket and if Booth does not trip 8-0 might be there.
It is just getting really hard to still believe when I watch us continually s*** the bed in late game situations and not be able to close teams out.
Tennessee: Up 3 with 14 to go, execute a perfect fake punt and immediately give up a sack+scoop and score to give them the lead. Just run the ball and bleed the clock.
Florida: Run the ball, kill the clock, and kick the GW FG
Texas: Run the ball, bleed the clock, and get 1st downs.

If Lebby is the guy, he'll win this week.

I agree with this one. We were not supposed to beat TN or TX at home or UF in the swamp. Arkansas is the only conference game on our schedule we should win. Win that and find some way to get a 6th and go bowling

Just get this one, and I'll shut up. I want a reason to believe

We 100% should have beaten both Florida and Texas but we Lebbyed it up with his poor coaching decisions.
-
We are 4-4 instead of 6-2 directly because of coaching decisions. Kick the field goal and we are 5-2. Get out of the hurry up 10 with 4 minutes left. Run the ball. Milk the clock and, at worst, you leave Texas with 2 minutes to score 10 points and they have to recover an onside kick to do it. It is mind-boggling the poor coaching decisions that have been made the last two weeks. His ass needs to be on the hot seat.

I guess that is what angers me. Lebby is really doing a tremendous job of having us in position to win games against teams that have WAY MORE resources than we do. If amount of NIL paid to players is the sole issue Texas should be national champions every year because they have more money than China.
But deadgum why does Lebby do such just unbelievable stupid play calls and clock management. He is going to be our coach next year and yes I understand why. If he loses next year and continues his stupidity he has to be let go. And all these crusaders for Lebby can sit down and shut up.

And which coach late in the game with a lead thought it was a great idea to punt directly to their punt returner that had just the week before returned a punt 70+yards for a touchdown. Kick it out of bounds or kick it sky high to allow our punt team to cover. Geesh!

Good OC wouldn't snap the ball with 20 seconds on the play clock when leading late in the game.

Hate to give Lebby an excuse, but we also have the least dynamic QB in the league

Our QB was 26/42 for 380 and 4 TDs. He was not the problem yesterday.

Not the point. He severely handicaps our play calling ability. I know you understand that

Shapen is a liability when the game is on the line. Thing is, the game doesn’t have to be on the line the last two weeks. Coaching decisions have been killer the last two weeks. Run the ball with a lead late in the game. Kick the ****ing field goal.

He really does not. He does exactly what we ask him to do.
