lol, Lebby thinking ok state would want him is somehow perfect.

I know that State doesn’t have the most talented roster but a 17 pt lead blown with 10 minutes left in the game? Lebby running up-tempo and snapping the ball with 20 seconds left on the play clock is absolutely coaching and poor clock management. I thought Shapen played well most of the game but Lebby shits the bed in back to back games.

It was the same way when he was at Ole Miss.

Those bad coaching decisions sometimes look better with better players. Do we convert those 4th and 1's with Fluff for example? Maybe. Definitely have a better chance with him than Booth because he is a better player. Do better players make better decisions? In general probably yes.

The issue with MSU is for year and years MSU has always put almost everything at the feet of the coaches and almost always have the players a pass with the starting QB being the exception. That's understandable because pre-NIL MSU wasn't supposed to pay players. But now we can pay players.

Regardless of what happens with Lebby now or in the future MSU MUST begin to focus more and more on acquiring players with talent rather than hope that we can find some coach that can outscheme people and coach up diamonds in the rough.

To me a bigger issue is we tried to slow it down and couldn't gain a yard. Our players let us down big time in that regard. We had two quick three and outs and got out of rhythm.

I get what you are saying. But I'm pretty sure Trinidad Chambliss was a "Diamond in the Rough".

How do you think State would be doing with him as our starting QB with our receiving corps? Maybe no better with all the fat stiffs we hired for offensive linemen.

I think the odds of any D2 QB working out are low in general.

I'll say this- Ole Miss would probably have the same record if they had our schedule.

Ole Miss would be 7-1 with our schedule. They are so much better than us it's hard to grasp that reality. That D2 qb they have is the second best qb in the SEC.

I watched the DII Natty last year against Valdosta St. I said during the game "whoever gets this guy in the portal is going have a huge steal." I watched a lot of DII the past 4 years because my son went to Valdosta - there are some P5 players on some of the top teams. If we had signed him, our fans would have tarred and feathered Lebby.

How did Kamario do last night running the ball? That's who you want to be our QB.

NOT that it matters, om is two fumbles late game away from two more loses, Dogs are two late game plays away from two more wins.....

I wont get on Lebby's ass playing with a bottom paid of the SEC roster going against much higher paid rosters. You have 80 yard punt returns because you lack talent.

Lame Kitten has a $25MM roster and we have a $15 roster. Of course he is going to beat us. He has players and depth. We have some players and litte depth. We are Cleveland in the NFL. They are Buffalo
    This is true.

I can see that Lebby can coach. He?s 2 plays away from being coach of the year. Of course most of our fanbase is too stupid to see it. You are the ringleader and driver of the shortbus.
He's 1 play away from everyone pulling in the right direction and firing him - maybe before the Egg. Somehow that ASU game might be the worst play to happen to us. False hope. False belief.

We can't even beat the other teams when they choke it away.

Football needs 3X that. Write your checks. Football needs $50MM. More money for the roster and depth. More staff.

We are funding at the bottom of the SEC. You get what you pay for. Our QB is lowest paid in the SEC. We have no OL depth. it shows
Here's the bad thing, we gave away all
that money and still can't get a SEC win. Don't expect people to keep giving with the hope we'll win. The well may dry up all together.

I don’t really know who to blame at this point. I imagine if you fire Lebby you just end up 2-10 with some other dude. Who even cares at this point? Just let him have three years and fire him next.

Look at our stats on the season and their stats. They're averaging 3-4 more PPG and have essentially the same defensive stats per us with an easier schedule. On paper and analytically we're the same team.

That's the opposite of what we should be doing if we want to get better. Our fans overvalue coaches and undervalue players.

Give more money, get better players, and get better results. It is what it is. Sabotaging the coach now only hurts the next coach we get if it doesn't work out.

    Conf games only...
    Total offense:
    OM 434.8
    State 377.5

    Total D:
    OM 401.6
    State 456.3

    That's not a small difference
