LSU should offer Penn State $20MM to take BK

Winning 7 would require going 5-0 to end the season. Extremely unlikely but have to think it?s a lock in that case. Probably only has to win 2-3 games to have a shot. Arkansas could save a ton of money not having to pay Petrino a huge salary and wouldn?t really need a big time OC either so you could pay top-5 money to try to attract a great DC then dump the rest back into the roster.

This is the route I would go if I were the AD. (Unless it's the same AD that was there when he took that infamous motorcycle ride. Then no chance)
Petrino is an elite offensive coach. Get him a top DC and you can roll.

I had no clue what their record was but Petrino might take a discount rate to get another head coaching gig. That is probably the smartest thing Arkansas could do. Go out and overpay for a great DC and maybe buy an entire defense out of the portal. Basically what USM did. Buy Marshall's Sunbelt championship team and coaching staff.

There's some Dallas power brokers who will not let that happen. They'll can Yurachek if it looks like Petrino is a real possibility.

Not surprising. He may end up at ole miss or auburn. Lol
Petrino would fit in great at Auburn. He'd be good there too.

Maybe Auburn can fly in the middle of the night during the season and see Petrino, just like the old Louisville days.

That may be Hugh's last ditch effort to save his job, hire Petrino as OC.

Maybe so, but I think Petrino gets a HC job this go around.

Auburn may try to woo Petrino from Arkansas. Arkansas would settle for Hugh bc ole miss gets Lashlee since Lane goes to LSU.

This silly season may be one of the all time greats.
You mean it doesn't get exceptionally difficult for another two years? Florida needs to get on his ass and get him outta there.

won't happen this go round

Elko had to "silence" rumors Penn State was interested in him.
That would be a shock for Elko to leave A&M for Penn State.
The only thing I can think of is going out the door to Happy Valley Elko says "Man, these people are weird."

Elko has TAM maybe as the SEC Champ and a high seed in the CFP. TAM is going to make sure he never leaves with a contract that would make Jimbo jealous.

With the way his Louisville stint ended and his controversial past I?m just not sure he?s a serious HC candidate at any other P4 school but Arkansas. I?m sure a ton would want him as OC though.

I don't know. Their players are crazy athletic and talented. But they're also pretty raw and underdeveloped like most of our players. But yeah- if they end up with Joe Burrow and a bunch of elite WR's and it clicks they absolutely could win a NC.

I can't see that working because they both run different offenses.

I could actually see Cohen hiring Petrino. Petrino was the OC at Auburn a long time ago.

I think Arkansas or Auburn will end up with Rhett Lashlee speaking of Dallas power brokers. if Arkansas loses that battle I think they maybe go with Mahlzahn.
