What did Shappen put out
on Social Media yesterday. Listening to T&L and the said that he put out something on Social media yesterday which has irked a few. Hadid was quick to point out that he wasn't a reg student but a paid employee making close to 7 figures as well as the 2 bacckups.

Put out a photo that said 17 the haters. Not in great taste since you were the one who lost the game but honestly, people are just finding reasons to get mad at Shapen.
Nick Fitzgerald did the same thing after LSU in 18, and even went after some people on social media, and he was a hero 6 days later. Winning Cures All. If Shapen leads us to a win against Texas everyone will quickly forget.

Not a good look for him, especially when you make the kind of money he's making.
I hate "fans" going after players on social media, but the player needs to ignore it all. He's an employee now.

The last thing we need is a guy that clams up under pressure putting extra pressure on himself to show up the "haters"

Or... that would be a good thing. If you know what I mean.

We're not going to start Kamario if that is what you're hoping. Even in the event of an injury, the backup would be Luke. Kamario just isn't ready. And that's ok!! I think some people are thinking that this is NCAA Football and you can just plug anyone in and everything works great. Kamario needs work. He's having trouble picking up the playbook and having trouble making the correct reads. Look no further than Saturday. 3 of his 4 plays in the middle of the field were RPOs. If he hands off on even one of them, Gayten has a first down. He's gotten by on his athleticism for so long that he's still figuring out how to make the correct reads in real time.
And btw, none of that makes him a bad player. It makes him a Freshman. Which he is. The kid is extremely athletic and has all the physical tools to be a great, he just needs coaching and development.

No I know. You and I agree completely on this, I don't want to see him. Give him his snaps for experience. But I kinda want to see Luke, he is experienced and I feel like fits the mold more of Arnold than what Shapen gives us. Just at this point I want to see it.

If Shapen loses the next 2, it's a no brainer to use Luke imo. All dreams of a bowl are gone

Shapen is delusional if he's blaming fans for his play. Lebby needs to get his attention before he disrupts the team dynamics.

He's not blaming anyone. He's telling them to shut up. Funny thing about openly paying players is while fans can criticize them for paying them then players also get to snap back. Is what it is.

And disrupting team dynamics is hilarious. You think Brennan Thompson and Evans want to just run empty routes all game long while Kamario scrambles again?
Reminds me of when Tulu was excited about Barbay's offense and then got suspended for a game because he complained about the play calling when he preferred Will as QB over Wright.

Great point on the dynamic now with fans paying into NIL, and a player tweeting against fans.
Bad timing. Blake hit those deep throws against TX and you don't have to tweet it out.

Fair point. Shapen can go screw himself if that's his attitude. Generally, snapping your smart ass back at your boss gets you fired. Screw Shapen if that's his attitude. If Lebby and Selmon won't tell these players to shut the hell up and quit snapping at those that pay for their NIL, then we won't be paying NIL. I like Shapen, but don't run your smart ass mouth to the fans.

Kamario reposted it and said, "WFW" meaning word for word and saying he agrees. So does Kamario also need to go screw himself? These are emotional 18-24 year olds that are living and dying with every play. I get the frustration. I don't agree with how he said or the medium he used but it's honestly a nothing burger. If he beats Texas then no one will care.

Stay off social media. Good life advice.

Honestly, not bad advice. I have seen some of the stuff that these college athletes receive after losses, and this was before NIL, and it's BAD. I can imagine it's gotten 5000x worse with NIL and being able to bet on college sports.
-
sounds like blake is tuff enuf to take it and dish it out. i just hope we get a portal qb better than him as soon as the year ends because we obviously don't have one on the bench now or they would get a shot to play.

That's just crazy. People are crazy.
I stay off of it. I don't have any of it. This is the extent of my internet. This and watching YouTube videos and researching stuff.

I?d say we have a guy with the proper kind of attitude to stand up and go while not taking anything off those not directly in his world. Good on you kid, stand up and go hard.

I think it shows that QB room is tight. And that's good, especially with Kamario getting snaps here and there.
Let's just beat TX, beat Arky, and everything else will be gravy the rest of the way.
