I mean we win this game at home, no question. We will get 1 SEC win this year, 2 is still in play. 6-6, no matter what anyone's super emotional take is, is a good season. 5-7 is decent for where we are currently.

Football coaches have been, are, and will continue to be, some of the stupidest and most stubborn people on the planet, especially when it comes to clock management. Not using the TO before the 2:00 and then using the TO with 30 seconds left and then throwing the ball are just inexcusable, absurd decisions. But I don't even think Lebby will understand the issue with them. Clock management is such a crucial part of coaching that affects results maybe more than any other one thing, and they just do not understand it and do not seem to care about it.
Unbelievable.

10 ways we could have won that game and one way to lose it and we chose that one.
Main thing is you HAVE to get the FG attempt. We weren't even trying to throw it to the end zone so we were going to have to make a FG it was just a matter of what the distance was going to be. But at 46 it was very makeable. I could have lived with Shapen just somehow NOT seeing one of the biggest guys on the field that dropped back into coverage HAD WE ACTUALLY HAD A RECEIVER BEHIND HIM. As it was, Shapen threw it straight to a FL player while no MSU receivers were even in the area. One of the worst endings to an MSU game I can remember in my lifetime and I've seen a LOT of games.

Looking back and seeing where we were this is the way to look at it.

Objectivity is lost when you are in a losing streak. And that is fine but big picture the season is not lost.

These types of losses divide locker rooms and cause players to tune out coaches with the motivational speech. Pay attention to see if we start having players getting discipline suspensions. It's a sure sign players don't believe anymore and the coaches being sensitive & emotionally butt hurt punishing players.

In theory I agree but even when we have the other team beat this year we are 0-2 giving the game away. Injuries have also killed our team. I agree TX is over rated, Ark should be winnable, Egg bowl who knows but we have proven once again no matter how you slice it that we snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Agree, this is where you lose the team.

We have no shot against any of those teams now. This was a back breaker and will destroy the locker room. Expect a bunch of hold outs and transfers incoming.

There’s no point. I knew we are still far behind the rest of the SEC in talent and had issues with QB and OL but I thought we had an edge in coaching. The last two games have really exposed our coaching issues on the offensive side. It’s too much to correct. This program has been terribly mismanaged since Cohen was hired as AD. It’s cooked.

Yeah I mean no arguing with facts. We are 0-2 against a top 15 team in OT at home and a better talented team in one of the hardest places to play in the country. 1-0 out of conference against a top 12 team who just beat #7 in the country. Both losses came down to the end of the game. We will know what we have by the egg bowl, we are very close. Do we push across the finish line, or throw in the towel? We will see.

Watched that last play again. The throw was so bad, had the DL dude not picked it, the DB looking in probably would've. What a god awful decision to make that throw. I get the reasoning, but with such a flake at QB, I'd have just ran it again and ran up and spiked it.

Exactly, that was my point a few posts up. I originally thought the FL defender was just in the path of the ball to an MSU receiver and made the INT. NO, there was no MSU receiver in the area. Just a total brain fart by Shapen. Even if the receiver that passed by that area was supposed to sit down there, by the time Shapen threw it he was LONG gone. I seriously have no clue who he was attempting to throw to.

Said the same thing earlier. If he was throwing to the guy cutting across the middle, he was 5 yards or more behind him. It was bad.
