I feel like it is going to take ALOT of money that olemiss can’t come close too to get Kiffin out of oxford. He is close to becoming king of the shit heads over there and on the surface, it looks like he likes the place. I’m wrong a lot though, so who knows.

I have heard LK is leaving so many years.....I guess if you guess on same thing long enough sooner or later you get it right........I think smarter plan is for Coach Lebby to just beat him......

Money will not be the issue. Never has been for them

Well you had 2022 which was legit with Auburn. Last year there were zero head coaching openings in the SEC so nowhere for Kiffin to go other than the NFL. There weren't very many that were open in 2023- ours was one, Alabama was open but Saban really dislikes Kiffin. He wasn't going to allow him to be his successor. A&M wasn't interested either.
As far as MSU- we've beaten Kiffin before at Ole Miss with Leach. We're actually one of the few that has beaten him in Oxford. Our biggest issue most of the time has been our lack of stability while they have also experienced a lot of stability at the same time. Also, the past few years the climate has been very favorable for Ole Miss. Easy schedules, institution of NIL and the portal- two things that Ole Miss had a head start on everyone when it was illegal, thus their "collective" was essentially already in place, and house settlement issues along with ridiculous high coaching buyouts causing unusual coaching stability throughout the league.
In the meantime, MSU has dealt with tragedy which was handled incredibly poorly and no AD to provide leadership, some of the most difficult schedules in the league, an AD that was averse against NIL, and then having to deal with the same house settlement issues.
The truth is, even IF Kiffin stays their schedules will get more difficult and the landscape is settling down to the point where everyone is basically caught up with them. Odds are they will cycle out soon anyway no matter what happens.

They do have a limit. I think it seemed that way because they were spending more than MSU because of the culture that they have which is the complete opposite of MSU's "exemplary compliance" method.
So, assuming Florida offers 13 million- Ole Miss is going to have to counter with at least that much and probably more. That's quite a bit of money- and it could force them in the territory where they have to make some hard decisions about NIL and even potentially affect some of their other sports.

Yep and either way this can help MSU. If OM has to pay more money to keep him that is less used elsewhere.

I don't believe for a second this is true. Why fire him after a win?
And about 90% of these coaching rumors end up being incorrect.

So, what if LK does leave for Fla. Who would OM be looking at to replace him?

A&M fired Jimbo after beating us by 50. Them putting it out there prior to the game is really dumb. Not sure what that accomplishes except making the game tomorrow harder for them to stay focused on and win. But them firing him after a win won?t be a surprise. They know he?s not the guy and want to wait until the bye week to do it. Big news outlets are not reporting this without some pretty good sources.

He's very well liked there. And he's one of their best recruiters. But he's not LK, and that's their entire program's identity right now....

I think it's because they have a bye week after they play us which gives them time to get an interim and regroup and do whatever they're going to do.

If he wasn't here already, Lebby.
