I would imagine that most schools- especially a school like MSU that has majors like architecture and construction management, etc. probably build houses for those coaches for very little if any charge to the coach.
Which is why it's probably not a big deal to the coach to move. I would imagine that they aren't investing a lot into it- like us peasant fans are for our houses.

The number of people on numerous State message boards who get completely offended when someone brings up Kiffin leaving Oxford is astounding. It further exemplifies why State will always be a mid-program at best.

Mods still haven?t updated the title. Bizarre

OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) - Ole Miss campus police ask students to behave at future baseball games following a recent incident.
The university said students were reportedly throwing rocks at Georgia baseball players during last weekend's series.

I'm not sure it's that State fans are getting offended, they are just getting tired of hearing it. People also will slot him into jobs that make absolutely no sense for him to leave. I think he only leaves for some place like Bama, Texas, Ohio State, UGA or LSU. Nothing else makes any sense with the playoff being expanded to 12 and he seems to like it in Oxford. It was the same annoying thing with Mullen but the difference was Mullen actually was constantly shopping and is now doing the same thing at UNLV. Our fans kept saying the same thing about Beard leaving for this job or that job and it was just getting annoying. Similar to Kiffin, he is not leaving unless its Kansas, UK, UNC or Duke.

I get that. But here’s the thing…it’s our instate rival. Instead of everyone digging in and stirring the pot on them we have state “fans” crying about the rumor. lol

^^^THIS!!! The State fans that automatically become om apologists every time he's mentioned for another job are 10x worse! That's a phenomenon that you NEVER see from the other side...not one om fan would ever defend Lebby wanting to stay in Starkville! Why we bend the knee like that to them on these kinda threads is baffling!

The Dogs need a BIG picture and also laser focus. Big pic is getting something besides AG to draw out of state students like AI, Digital Video or a REAL journalism school. That would mean more out of state money. Maybe more media oriented majors so the ballgames will be more about the new MSU not a cow wandering across the field stuff. Laser being beating om again, Mullen made me crazy but when he first came that was his focus.....and it worked.....JMHO..

MSU fans need an attitude adjustment more than a journalism school.

MSU has a bachelor's in AI, and I think was the first SEC school with it.
I live out of state, and the students/families interested in MSU is that they love the SEC experience but in a small town. Agree on forward motion in tech.

Oh, so you were sitting by Neal McCready?

Neal McCready is a peter puffer, but aside from his wishes, you have to wonder if Lebby sees any light at the end of the tunnel here. With the cost of business rising by the day, I think about what's going to happen to the program. We will see if we can get one more W this year. The misery level could be at a choking point after Thanksgiving weekend.
