Word is Napier is Gone After Our Game
Should make this weekend interesting.
Also, Freeze better beat Mizzou Saturday.
-
Like if he loses to us? If it doesn't matter, why not before the game?
-
That sounds like a bad rumor. Why let something like that out? Doesn't make sense. If that's really the case, the spread should drop tremendously before the game.
Maybe this will be enough to distract them.
Auburn/Mizzou should be a good game.
I would laugh if Auburn fires Freeze AND Cohen!!! Then hires Mullen. Lol

Because they have a bye after us.
-
If we beat them Saturday he is gone for sure.

I agree Trap that would be the final straw.

It could. Do the UF players like Napier? If so could make it harder for us trying to win for the HC. If they don't like him, gives us an edge. Just the rumor of it could affect things.

Only problem with that is if they beat us, it's harder to fire him. If the decision is made, you do it now. This is Florida... they aren't worried about 6 wins like we are. They want much more

They do. Which is why our game doesn't matter to them. Winning at home as a double digit favorite against what they see as a bottom feeder won't move the needle. They expect to compete with UGA and bama. And it's clear Napier can't.
Word is they know it's time to move on.
We will see.

Their off week is next week. Gives the staff some time to adjust and make some changes
Def helps our cause Saturday

I completely believe that we could Ron Zook him if we win, but I find it hard to believe they would fire him if they beat us. If not why just fire him immediately like PSU and ARK did with their coaches. Now, I could definitely see them firing him after they lose to UGA. His only chance to keep his job at this point is to win out. That is pretty slim to none considering they still have UGA, Tenn and @ Ole Miss.

As I recall, A&M fired Jimbo a couple days after he beat us 51-10, so there is some precedent.

UPig waited for the off week to pull the trigger- which is smart. Next week is Fla's off week

Hopefully that really benefits us and gives us a good chance to get the win.

If this rumor is true it has already spread to the locker room. Saturday is going to be very interesting.

In response the dead Indians are cooking up a case of bad potato salad Friday night to give our first two strings a debilitating case of the shits Saturday.

Yeah even with this news, I just can't see us winning on the road. They still out talent us at some positions

agree but wee should be ready to play and they could have some players making "bidness decisions"

The reason you fire him is exactly why we let Lemonis go before the end of the season. You don't want to give him the chance to luck up and win a few then make it harder to make the move.
Everyone knows Napier isn't the right guy but let him upset someone and then you have a harder firing a guy in a bowl game. We don't fire Lemonis if he gets us into a Regional "finals" again even though that isn't our expectations.

Agree will be lots of bizness decisions just not sure which way they go; lay down and don't get hurt so I can transfer or show something to make me some money?
