We are about to find out how good of a coach we have

I like Lebby. Honestly wasn't thrilled with the hire based on my OU connections that hated his play calling. He did cost them a couple of important games there but he also won them a bunch. I think he's a young coach still evolving and he is the right fit for State and I'm excited we have him.

That said, we are about to find out if he is better than just a good fit. It's obvious to my dog even that we are very weak in areas and very beat up. His offensive scheme is going to have to be altered going forward for us to have any chance. Concrete shoes on your QB ain't gonna work if we can't block. I hope we start seeing some changes in two weeks because if not, we are gonna see a lot more of last night.

I think just from last year to this year we see how good he is. He played the number 6 team at their place. Now let's go get some wins .

We have the right guy at head coach. I don?t see anything the rest of the season changing my opinion on that.

While I agree on Lebby, I wouldn't go as far as you did in sentence 2. This is gonna be a rough season (it always was gonna be), and I don't wanna see the team quit once these losses start piling up

There's some good and then there's some not so good. We will see if he figures it out.

That's true, but 4-0 to potentially 4-8 is different.

ETA.. I think we get 1 of ark and OM. Need both though. I think 5-7 is final record

I think 7-5 if we get some players back. We win both of those plus either Florida or Texas. I think we've played our toughest opponents already. aTm on the road was almost impossible and I think Tennessee is the best team in the country.

To your first paragraph, Kiffin cost Alabama several big games when he was their OC. His playcalling was terrible at times. But I guess you could also say he won them a lot of games. (It was really Saban and talent)

We will beat Texas and Florida to go 6-6. Outside shot at Arkansas but we have historically struggles there for whatever reason. Egg Bowl you just never know but if we don’t get some depth by then it will end like the A&M game. Close for the first half then blowout in the back half

Except for the part that ole miss has a terrible defense and aTm has the best defense we will face all season. I say 7-5 is still a real possibility.

They didn't last year in a much worse year/team, I can't see them doing it this year. Lebby seems to have the culture and discipline angle handled. Now he needs to get the personnel

Maybe. I’d love to see that. But without Reese, Fluff, Smith, and a banged of Brennan I just don’t see it. Plus our leading pass rush out for the season. This will end up being a shoulda’, woulda’, coulda’ year just based on injuries. It’s a shame. Could have been a special season.

No idea on Fluff but Reese and Smith should be back after the bye. Brennan is fine, he caught a bomb last night and would've had a 2nd if the OL blocked another half second.

What happened to Fluff? Leg/foot? Honestly I fell asleep around the beginning the 4th quarter…had a long past few days of partying too hard in Nashville and it caught up with me last night.

Ankle it seemed. Carted off but no air cast. Got rolled up on. Best case would be high ankle sprain and he can return at some point before season end.

I thought it was a bad sprain based on what they did for him on field. Hopefully 4 weeks.

Florida has a talented defense. They sacked Manning 6 times yesterday. That doesn't bode well for Shapen and the offense.

How much money would you be willing to bet that we beat Texas and Florida? I'm I'm interested in a wager on that.

That's the point of the post. I think we have the right guy. But just how good is he? We are about to find out
