Week 6 Prediction Thread-Milkman Cult Edition
After coming off the emotional rollercoaster of last week in about Tuesday, I started really diving into this game. I really believe we are going to give them issues. Their D is BAD and I think we can force them into 3rd and medium-long a good bit. They are 113th in the country in 3rd down conversions. They also are a very highly penalized team, like us. They are pretty highly ranked in total defense but that number is inflated due to Auburn not having an offense. They gave up 24 to UTSA, 22 to Utah St, and 40 to Notre Dame. I think if this thing gets into a shootout we will win because I think we are more like Auburn defensively than Notre Dame.
I picked us to lose earlier in the week but I am changing my pick. We win one for The Pirate against the fake military. Dawgs 41-Aggies 31.

I think this is the coming out party for our offense (yes, even with us missing Reese).
Since 2012, Texas 8&4 has been favored every year. We are 6-7 against them in that timeframe.
They don't scare us. They are never as big as the hype.

Again, they suck. Their fans suck. They don't have real cheerleaders, what a disgrace to women. Their coach is new and is still trying to surgically implant a backbone into that program. He will leave in a few years because he recognizes the systemic issue of no backbonery. The whole football world should have known they were a wet paper bag when they picked such a beautiful dog as their mascot.
The boys are hungry, the boys learned they can play with anyone, the boys think of these dudes as cannon fonder.
The first half is going to be tough just like Tennessee but unlike Tennessee we aren't going to make the mistakes we made that kept them in the game. We will start to command the game in the second half.

We have a better defense than Auburn and a much better offense than Auburn. aTm beat them 16-0. But aTm is going to kill us. Strange.
Not really arguing because I don't feel good about this game, but just trying to understand the "Mississippi State fan logic".

Totally disagree. Their DL is damn good and way better than ours. In spite of playing a much tougher schedule so far- they have 16 sacks to our 7 and almost twice as many TFL's. Our D has played 1 SEC game and given up 41 points- albeit to a very good offense.
I'd also argue- and something we may see tomorrow- that our offense takes a good step back being down 2 OT's
Auburn is also 33rd in the country in stop rate while we are 39- against a tougher schedule
