Petrino came back solely to get the Arkansas job once again. I think in his mind, he could fix the offense(which by the way he's done) and they could get it respectable and Pittman could ride off in the sunset while Bobby takes over. A seamless transition. Instead, their D is hot garbage and they are 2-2 instead of 4-0 because they have two red zone fumbles in 2 weeks going in for winning scores.

If Notre Dame crushes them Saturday I think they let Pittman go and give the keys to Petrino for the rest of the season.

I need them to let Sam finish the season. Petrino will can the DC the moment he's handed the reigns and go pull VanGorder from Gulf Shores HS.

I'll be interested to see if Florida and Arkansas have made coaching changes by the time we play them.
Florida is off this week, then Texas and Texas A&M before they play us. So likely 1-5 heading into our game.
Arkansas is 2-2 and play Notre Dame, Bye, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Auburn. They legit could be 2-6 when they play us.
I could see a world for both of those programs playing us with interim head coaches.

Pretty good chance that happens. They're both at the point of no return.

He hasn't coached in college since the 80's I think. Good luck to him in recruiting. And who would be on his staff? Bama might make it work because it's Bama but they're not going to put up with a learning curve from Gruden.

Wasn?t Van Gorder his DC when he was at Arkansas the first time?

That was Willis Robinson I believe.

Got to be careful about firing coaches early. 30 day transfer portal opens when you fire someone. I dont see anybody being fired before November. It could wreck a roster
Walk like the King or walk like you don't care who the King is

I haven't seen it personally but some OSU people are saying a Tweet from Pete Thamel says Gundy's buyout is in place and ready.

This seems like a real possibility. Could even see Pittman announcing his retirement even if Arkansas were to somehow pull it off so he goes out gracefully.
Arkansas could be in the market for a new AD too with a total clean house. Yuracheck is not well liked. Message board conjecture is Rick Hart who hired Lashlee at SMU to try to get them as a package deal.

Gundy was fired this morning. But he's a man and almost 60 so he'll be ok.

It sounds like Dabo is about ready to leave Clemson. Would there be any SEC offers for Dabo?

I’m not sold on Notre Dame crushing anyone. Let alone winning a road game.

I'll ask him. He lives in my building in Dallas.
And what you heard is 100% accurate. There's a few big Arky boosters in Dallas who have been quietly courting Lashlee for the last month or so. That's who they've set their sights on. They now have realized that Yurachek is trying to get the OU job and they can get the SMU AD, which would make getting Lashlee that much easier.

Lashlee going to Arkansas would make a lot of sense and seems like the most logical choice for them. Also, I think Kentucky will hire Sumrall if they get rid of Stoops. Both of those seem like perfect fits for the schools.

This/ If ARKY can find a whif of Defense and quit fumbling the ball they could win.

We're seeing the old hard nosed NFL experience playing our currently in UNC, too.
