Not sure that would be the case....he had his shot last year, ...they spent money and got portal talent....all for nothing...all they had to do was score once in their last three drives against Florida and they laid an egg. ..everything they had worked for and their golden child QB had two picks and turned it over on downs ...it looked like he had quit with everything they had worked for on the line....I'd say that is on Kiffin...

I think he is the best play-scripter for the first two drives in college football. If they dont have 14 points with a TOP of 3 minutes after their first 2 drives, they are in a dogfight the rest of the game against average teams.

You nailed it. And as OC at Bama, he had a running back gashing the defense for 5-7 yards a pop. So he decided to throw 3 passes and punt. He kept teams in the game while he was at Bama.

It wouldn't surprise me. I think they will fire him if you pressed me for a yes or no answer. They'll figure the buyout later. They have some pretty wealthy boosters that can make things happen.

I think it's funny that you have Paul Finebaum basically begging Saban to come back to Bama on ESPN.

I think if he did it wouldn't turn out as well as they hoped. I think they would be a 9-3 or 10-2 type team. Good luck convincing recruits that an 80 year old dude is going to be around for five years. Yep, Saban saw it coming. With NIL for all and especially the portal, bama can no longer buy 4 and 5 stars under the table and make them sit 3 to 5 years waiting for their time to start or get significant minutes behind the other 4/5 star players. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch and their thousands of sidewalk fans in the MS counties bordering Alabama. Walmart will have to send a lot of unsold bama gear to third world countries as a charitable tax write-off after this season.
