The Gump boards are comedic gold right now.

Just peruse any board Bama right now. They want KD fired and some think Saban would come crawling back. Anything, anyone is better than DeBoer right now. Even saw some thinking they could get Kirby and some advocating for Dabo, who none of them wanted two years ago. May be the most unrealistic and dumbest fan base in the country. They're desperate and ultra sensitive but reality is setting in. Their best days are over and some of them realize it. Others are in denial.

A $70 million buyout for KD and who knows what for a proven winner somewhere else. Not going to be cheap. I’m not sure who they could get. Perhaps Saban to stabilize the situation but he wouldn’t be there long.

They should go get JoMo and Croom.

The days of college football dynasties are over. Going to be a lot of wailing Bama fans. Will have to stock up my popcorn supply, sit back and enjoy their misery. Karma for them being so insufferable all these years.

from porn stars to midgets. tough to win when every college can pay players legally, Saint Nick saw it coming and got out when he could.

Lane Kiffin at Bama would be unbeatable. That’s probably who they will go after

He'd still be beatable. Lane doesn't have the killer instinct it takes to win the big one.

The only big name that would take that job in my guesstimation is Kiffin. If there was ever a no-win situation, it is bama football right now and for the next several years. If Kiffin decides he can’t get over the hump at olemiss, I could see him being crazy enough to try it.

And make the playoffs every year. He's incredible at the portal and recruiting. Don't matter that he's an "ok" coach.

I wonder if Jimmy Sexton has already reached out to Bama letting them know Lane is interested?

Lane is the only option that works for Bama. What he's done at Ole Miss will never be done again at a Mississippi school.

I beg to disagree, Lane has set the blueprint for them for sure. But the real success is in the machine behind the team?s ascension. They are together and always on message, with funding for the long haul.

I don't think this level of OM football success is sustainable after Lane leaves. He fits like a glove there and does all the things they like as well or better than anyone else could in NIL/portal football.

DeBoer's buyout is like 80mil, is it not? If, so he ain't going anywhere this season.
