    Haters weep- AZ ST

ASU, like us, is struggling against an inferior opponent. If you think for a second we don?t have a chance you have lost your 17mind

I watched the whole game ....Their opponent was an FCS opponent at home ..Northern Arizona was very small and had very few athletes ..their QB was decent but not very mobile ..AZ State had many penalties that killed them ..I thought their defense was slow and even though northern AZ was one dimensional, they couldn't adjust ....Az St. relied on their one stud receiver ..Tyson, I'll be looking for Jones to be assigned to him.....I'd game plan to take Tyson away from them and take your chances with their backs. There is no Scattaboo and that defense couldn't consistently stop a smaller, one dimensional FCS team at home. So I know it's cool to crap on all things MSU but id say there is a path there and AZ State has more questions than MSU

MSU was able to play every defensive player that traveled and almost every offensive player against a G5 school on the road ..AZ State had to rely on their stud receiver to catch 12 balls and played their starters well into the 4th quarter against an FCS team at home....

Here's the highlights. Leavitt was also sacked multiple times by a lightweight defense.Tyson and Leavitt were the stars of the show. NAU moved the ball well on ASU defense but couldn't capitalize on red zone opportunities.

Week 1 is a crap shoot. We will have to improve next week as will ASU to be able to win. I don?t put much into what we saw this week. We will know more about what we have late next Saturday evening.

ASU will be worse than last year. Programs like that simply cannot sustain that level year to year. Doesn't mean we will win but I expect a good game

May have to try and beat them without Shapen. Listened to a little of the post-game press conference and Lebby just said he would have to check on the status of Blake and Jett Jefferson for next week. Shapen is just one of those guys that will always be injured, and for that reason, I wish we hadn't brought him back as a starter. I still think Shapen coming back was a big factor in Arnold not wanting to come here. Hope LK is the real deal because he may be starting next week.

We are making ASU prepare for both QBs. Smart.

Arnold was a business decision. He would be our starter if he came

He was talking about Blake Steen. Not Shapen

Seems to me our OL appears slow, weak, and lethargic. I don't see us winning very muich if we can't improve the OL play.

Watching the highlight they definitely relied on Levitts legs to win that game. A lot of broken plays where he uses his speed to make something happen.

I saw Steen whiff on a couple of blocks and get beaten on another. The OL looked much better after he came out with his injury.

Luke Work didn't play either. I was looking forward to seeing how he did.

Maybe, just maybe, they, like us, were being very vanilla on opening week!

We beat them last year if they didn?t have Scattabo. Hell we almost came back and beat them anyway.

Traore dropped a TD in the end zone. Shapen fumbled the ball for an easy scoop and score. Skattebo did the rest. The kid they got from Army is a good back but he ain't Skattebo.

We play a clean game with hardly any penalties and we got a decent shot to win this one.

And you could tell by Lebby's presser today that the team wants this one. They want some payback for last year.
