Can I put 1000 vbuck on Freeze getting canned first?
Hypothetical if 4 sec coaches get canned this yea, do you see lebby moving? Would Lane finally get the shot at Florida?
Number three on the list gave me a chuckle.
FYI... bored at work

If Lebby goes 6-6 or better he will be the IT name of coaching searches because it will mean he built back at G5 talent level AT BEST roster in 24 months. However, I do not think there are many jobs that Lebby wants that he could get. OU does not want him back because of the Briles stuff and he kind of thumbed his nose at them on the way out and they were too prideful. I think he is here for a while if he can win. The Auburn job is toxic right now because of their boosters and toxic to anyone from Mississippi State because of Cohen. Keenum has poisoned that well quite well. Arkansas would be one to worry a bit about depending on how big they want to swing. I have also heard they basically have an agreement set up with Kane Wommack if they strike out on Rhett Lashlee. As for Kentucky, John Sumrall would crawl on broken glass from New Orleans to Lexington to take that job.
On Kiffin, I do not think there are but 4-5 schools that want him that could convince him to leave the situation he is in at Ole Miss. I think Bama and LSU are probably 1 and 2 on that list. Texas is 3 and Florida St and Miami might be 4 and 5. I do not think he is going anywhere else other than the SEC or a team that could get into the SEC or Big 10 in the next round of realignment. I also do not think at this point Florida is a better job than Ole Miss. He also has the unwavering support of Glenn Boyce and Keith Carter and I do not think he could get that anywhere else. They give Lane WHATEVER he wants.

I'll put money in this order, Napier, If LSU doesn't make the playoffs Kelly, then Venerables. OU wi;; not stand to fall that far back of Texas/ I think Arky has give4n up on FB and gone all in on Baseball. Freeze will have one more year then Cohen who is still impressed with JOMO hires him at Aubbie.

Clark Lea at Candy on the list? Ridiculous
He beat Bama last year and got them bowling. He's in great shape there.

A bowl game at Vandy will get Lea 5-6 more seasons AT MINIMUM. He's got more job security than any coach in the SEC not named Kiffin or Smart.

I think you may have to include UF in that same lake of toxicity that Auburn lives in. They have similar issues - too many chiefs in the Athletic Dept, too many boosters involved, and insane fan expectations.
People forget that UF was pretty mediocre historically until Ole Ball Coach showed up (after our dumbasses failed to land him). Another .500 or worse season (Which is possible) and they will can Billy Ball.
And Kiffen would be a fool to think he could go there and control it all. He's better off in Oxford - as much as I hate saying it.
"After dealing with Ole Miss for over a year," he said, "I've learned to expect their leadership to do and say things that the leadership at other Division I schools would never consider doing and to justify their actions by reminding themselves that "We're Ole Miss.""

The difference in Florida and Auburn is that although they have crazy boosters, they usually align behind one candidate. Whereas at Auburn, it is always two camps pitted against each other (Lowder camp vs Rane camp) and whoever’s candidate is not chosen, they spend all their time trying figure out how to fire them. Tubberville was the last one to have them sort of in line and he even lost control towards the end.

Cincinnati - Nebraska is a big game tonight for both coaches. They both really need the win or even getting to a bowl game at all this year is iffy.

Pate and Brandon Walker have Nebraska in the playoff.

Satterfield will be done after this year. The brains behind that operation at App State was Drinkowitz. Cincy got fooled and Mizzou got the good coach. Pittman is the SEC coach I see getting canned this year. I think Napier, Freeze and Venables win enough to save their jobs. I don?t really know where LSU fans stand with Kelly but I don?t see LSU winning @Clemson or @Bama and they will probably lose one of the games between UF, aTm, @OM and @OU. If 9-3 doesn?t get them in the playoffs I?m sure they will be getting extremely impatient.

LSU goes 8-4 and the hate for Kelly will get alot louder. I havent met an LSU yet that likes him

Kelly is a decent coach who has been very smart with his job selection.

Where will he chose next?

Disagree. Coming South was a huge mistake from a coaching success standpoint. From the money he will make in getting fired? Yes

Looking at their schedule, I don't see but, but if they had squeaked it out tonight, they wouldn't have any shot.

Florida is a better job. It just is. How many NC's have they won compared to Ole Miss since 1991? It's not just Spurrier that was successful there. Urban Meyer was as successful if not moreso.
And as far as his family and recruiting Florida is an absolute hot bed of talent and his son could go to IMG or some other prestigious school there and play QB.

Should UF be a better job? Yes. But, Spurrier is starting to look like an anomaly down there. He dominated for a decade at a time when UF, Miami, and FSU were all still top programs.
Urban won Natty's but it almost killed him (according to him). Every other hire they ran out of town regardless of success level because they BELIEVE they should be Spurrier-level dominant all the time.
That creates a toxic program and leads to Zook, Muschamp, Shark F***er, Mullen, and Billy all meeting the same fates. And all but Zook and Billy had seasons with 10 or more wins

So Spurrier and Meyer were successful. And honestly, Spurrier is FAR MORE impressive because he was successful when Bobby Bowden had FSU rolling and Dennis Erikson had Miami rolling and at the end Butch Davis had started to build Miami back.
Meyer had Bowden on the way out and Miami in the desert. He was recruiting against no one in state. Also, Saban wasn't at Bama until Meyer had already rolled off a national championship so he was still recruiting at a high level with no one challenging him.
Outside of those two, Florida eats their own. Mullen has the 5th highest winning percentage of all time at Florida, went two 3 NY6 bowls in his first 3 years and they fired him in Year 4. McElwain made the SECCG his first two years and they fired him in Year 3. The avg tenure of a Florida HC is 4 years since Spurrier left. No coach wants to walk into that. None. And I know for a fact that Kiffin wants no part of that job. Gainesville is a s***hole compared to other SEC towns. So why would Lane go from a small college town where he has the unabashed support of the fan base and administration that is giving him 9+ mil a year to go to Gainesville where they'll be ready to string him by his toenails the first time he loses? Also, he can send his kid wherever he wants. That kid is at Oxford for one reason, and that reason ain't leaving. DAVID CUTCLIFFE.

You would have to be an idiot to pass on LSU. Easiest place to win in the country.
