    Starting 22 according to T&L....

Good listen on their podcast. They didn't have the exact same 22 so I went with Robbie's picks over Hadad b/c Robbie is better when it comes to knowing the roster/depth chart.

    QB: Shapen
    RB: Booth
    WR: Mosley
    Slot: Anthony Evans
    WR: Thompson
    TE: Traore
    OT: Steen
    OT: Jimothy Lewis
    G: Reese
    G: Jackson
    C: Keenum

    DL: Deonte Anderson-a little suprising
DL: Burroughs- hasn't played in 2 years
    DL: Will Whitson
Jack: Brandon Jennings-expect a big year
    LB: Zakari Tillman
LB: Jalen Smith-big get from UT
CB: Jayven Williams- he was the #3 corner at Kennesaw State last year
    CB: Kelly Jones
    S: Isaac Smith
    S: Lanier
    S: Tony Mitchell

    Big question mark: O-line
    Weakest position group: Corner
Assistant coach that has to step up: Corey Bell
My favorite group: LB's and RB's

There's a good bit they got wrong. But not unexpected. They are guessing.

Care to point out which spots?

Not HomeDawg but I think they missed on at least one of the OL spots. I think they missed on DE and one of the Safety spots. I also could make a case that Mosley is beaten out by Ayden Williams.

They don?t know much but they know more than me. Post your projections. You know more than them. 5 years ago, I could have told you the starting 22 with ease.

I think Hadad had Ayden but Robbie had Mosely. Ayden hasn?t done much in his career to this point.

Thompson and Evan?s appear to be locks as starters though Ricky J will push Evans.

I've been saying since January that Rickey Johnson was going to shock some people. I also think we're going to play a lot of 4 WR so a lot of this is kind of academic. I mean Fluff Bothwell won't "start" but he's going to have 600-800 yds and probably 140-160 carries.

Koby Keenum starting over Brennan Smith at center would be surprising. Lanier starting over Jahron Manning would also be surprising. I think Trevor Mayberry from Stanford starts at guard as well. And he has Thompson starting on the outside over Ayden Williams? Or is he saying Cam Thompson starts? Brenen Thompson is a slot guy all the way.

Yeah. A lot of fans are fixated on the running backs but we have added a ton of WR talent as well. And TE for that matter. Speaking of running backs I'm hoping Xavier Gayten plays more there this year now that he is older. I think our running backs carries are going to be more like 8-10 a game apiece which should average out to 120 carries or so. But I think they will get touches in the pass game as well which should get to approximately 140 touches.

I have been saying since January to use the 2021 Ole Miss offense as the baseline for how carries will look for this team. Ealy, Conner, and Corral were a 3 headed monster in the run game but we will not run Shapen as much so someone will take those carries out of Daniels and Gayten.

I also think we will be more explosive in the pass game as they just were not healthy enough at WR to actually throw it towards the end of the year.

B Thompson is definitely starting on the outside.

We will rotate backs but we want Booth on the field as much as possible. He?s a 4 down back and maybe our best player after Issac Smith. Gayten is 4th string.

I'm not a big fan of putting 5'9" receivers on the outside. Much rather that be in the slot personally.

The thing is it's hard to know how much of the play calling was Lebby and how much was Kiffin. So this may look more like Oklahoma 2023. Lebby doesn't really seem to call a ton of designed QB runs at least compared to Dan Mullen. Maybe 3-4 a game. I think we have to worry about Shapen scrambling as far as injuries go. Which is what he was doing when he got hurt in the first place.

If he does gets injured what the offense looks like will then depend on whether Lebby goes with Kromenhoek or KT. If it's Kromenhoek then I think we run more. If it's KT it will be more status quo I think.

I'm good with that but that also means that Fluff won't get the touches most fans are expecting. Gayten is way more talented than Daniels. I bet he ends up third string by the end of the year.

In this case, the 5'9" guy has breakaway speed. You hate to see those guys take the beating of running routes inside. On the other hand, with his speed, he could run crossing patterns, catch a pass and split defenders turning up the midfield so, however he is used, they have to get the ball to him in space.

We got some good back options. But everytime folks diss on Daniels he just goes out and produces. Gayton seems like just a straight ahead runner. Daniels seems to have more wiggle and cut in his game. I don't really care just keep some fresh good legs in the game and go with who is hot.
