Go 9-21 in back-to-back seasons: "Keep your job! Just making a Regional is good enough and he wasn't too far off!"
Go 16-11 after having made Omaha in 3 of the last 4, only to be screwed over by the committee and fate: "What an underachiever!"

Sad we've got someone in our fanbase rooting for our elite, national championship winning coach to fail just so he can be right on a message board.
A psychiatrist could have a field day studying his brain and how 17ed up it is.

Ending with a burst?
1B/RHP Chris Arroyo from UVA (193 for MLB, Draft Risk)
SS/2B Henry Godbout from UVA (73 for MLB, Draft Risk)
LHP Dylan Loy from Tennessee much trusted Reliver, comes supremely tested and no draft risk.
Maybe they have a flip on a quality SS from HS, not the portal. Seems you could pull an All American with an open SEC position.

I hope every draft eligible player we go after is a draft risk. After all, MLB can only take so many, and it?s the only way to build an elite program. I?d rather keep 50% of draft risk players than 100% of players that nobody wants to draft.
If our NIL stays strong, we will win some battles, unlike the days of when players with a 1/2 scholarship would bolt for a $25k signing bonus.

Better to have than not have signees. What is somewhat funny is reading where we have a regional team already with what was left by Bucket Coach, then we sign and get portal players and the "sky may fall" LOL. The futures way better in years to come with BOC and staff. But their will be naysayers.

100% agree. You definitely don't want a roster with zero draft risks, which means you are void of talent or have holes in your classes.

I'm talking about landing more guys that arent eligible for the 2025 draft. 2026 draft guys- not limited talent guys

Seems to be some cautious.....very cautious.....optimism on our side regarding Reese.
I would still say it's very touch and go. Maybe 52 he stays/48 he goes. I might be willing to go as high as like 55/45

LSU's 3rd baseman does seem to be leaning toward the draft.

Not that there is any correlation- but LSU's Freshman All-SEC OF'er hit the portal yesterday

The number of pitchers Tennessee has had hit the portal is shocking. I think I've seen it's around 20.

I felt pretty good when I saw LSU was going after Carraway.

He and Curiel are apparently friends. He may have been a fallback option.

There is something up with that. That's not normal.
