A Little OT-Richard Duease
A little off topic-although it's summer so there's not really a topic, but saw yesterday that Richard Duease is stepping down at the end of the year. He hasn't really been able to see the last like 8 years so the fact that he's still been able to coach is pretty impressive. Richard is a huge Mississippi State fan and really helped us with Hubbard once that recruitment opened up again. Once he is gone, and with Sojourner retiring at the end of this year, the old guard from the MPSA days will only have two members, Craig Dailey and Durwin Carpenter.

Durwin?s at Pillow right? He?s a good coach. His teams are tough, physical and play hard.

Gave me 3 of the hardest licks I've ever had for fighting in PE class. Getting paddled wearing sweat pants sux.
Outstanding coach. Coached with my father back in the 70's
Walk like the King or walk like you don't care who the King is

Yep. Durwin is still at Pillow and Craig Dailey is now on his second tour of Delta Academy as the headmaster and basketball coach. Knowing Craig, I imagine he will coach until he catches Duease. And since he coaches both girls and boys, he probably will catch Richard.

Getting licks from Coach Duease is a right of passage in school. He got quite a few licks in on me during my days in high school. He was one hell of a study hall teacher. 🤣🤣
