    That entire umpiring crew

needs to be fired and barred from ever calling another game. What a dumbass for ejecting the coach.

From what I saw was the HP UMP gave a warning to the 1st base coach. And the LSU coach had done the same thingt whatever it was in the top.

This crew is bush league trash. No way this kind of thing happens in the first inning of a national championship game. Pathetic.

You can’t argue balls and strikes. He gave a warning and the coach kept yapping. It’s the rules. The coastal coach knew that. Instead of saying I can’t believe the umps did that in the cws. How bout, I can’t believe the coach kept arguing after getting a warning for arguing balls and strikes in the cws.

It was the 3rd pitch of the game. Mighty quick hook.

Whatever happened to baseball when umpires did not draw undue attention to themselves.

That was before my time. They've always been arrogant assholes.

Do y'all remember the home plate ump in the 2019 CWS who caused us to lose our 2nd game and get eliminated by Louisville? Lemonis first season. Ump blatently tightened up his plate for our pitchers while loosening it for Louisville's batters, in the 8th and 9th inning. We had led the entire game, but wound up losing by a run.

Alright I change my opinion. I listened to Bart and Charlie this morning and they took the coaches side. They know more about baseball then I do, I suppose.

Must be something with Umps named Angel. Remember Hernandez?

Did the LSU coach really already argue a ball/strike in that game?
Also, I watched game 1, LSU got every single close called strike/ball the entire game. It was unbelievable.
I can understand the frustration from Coastal C. I feel like they were on the wrong end of about 20 pitches, either when they were at bat or when they were pitching. At some point, someone has to say something.

Mangum struck out yesterday on a pitch that was 7" clear outside. Which is a new record since that measurement has existed. Angel Hernandez was the previous record holder.

Yeah, Cole Gordon had to put it in a shoe box for it to be a strike. On the other side, Louisville could have a couple inches off the plate.

In Arkys 1st game with one team the UMP was giving the Arky pitcher Tom Glavine outside corner distance in the 1st inning. Then the tightened it up and the pitcher was out by the end of the inning.

Didn't look like that's what happened based on the video and the coach's explanation. Granted I saw the explanation before I saw the video, so I was primed to see what he described, but it looks like he asked what the warning was, and responded because he missed 3. I don't think pointing out he'd missed three in the first inning was worthy of an ejection. The interaction was over but the ump's pride was hurt, so he made the championship game about that instead of the players and the actual game.

And I have no problem if that's the way they want to handle it going forward. I've got no problem with basically zero tolerance for coaches working the refs. But with the approach we have, that was BS and it should be hard for him to ump a high stakes college game going forward without proving he's better than he showed.
