Arkansas chokes again. Game ending DP, but ss took safe play to get the runner out at 3rd for some reason. Double ties it at 5-5 with game winning run at 2nd

And the double was only because the outfielder slipped down while trying to catch the ball. Should have been an out. Amazing the good luck LSU has in Omaha and the bad luck Arkansas has.

Total brain fart by the SS. Even if you don't turn the double play, it's 1st and third with 2 outs. The runner going to 3rd meant nothing.

Dave Stapleton lives here in Fairhope. Have always wanted to ask him what he thought about McNamara not subbing him in as a defensive replacement for Buckner. I worked in Midtown and went to quite a few Mets games at Shea that season.
