Forgot about my boy Ace. He was supposed to be gone to the Tigah's. But hes back baby! Yea, we gonna have an error or two at 3b, but he bout to hit 25 dingers and bat .380. Golden spikes finalist. The young man just hit .400 in sec play. Ponder on that for a few moments. Im not letting anybody poopoo on my excitement for next year. Lets go!!

I think Ace will be a lot better defensively next year. This was his first year playing third base and he wasn't too bad. Also, I wasn't really impressed with Gautreau as far as defense goes. Or Cheesebrough if you are talking catchers.

Going on a small tangent here- I think the biggest difference our fans will notice under O'Connor is the improved fundamentals.

Look, we aren?t the sexiest girl at the party right now and without hiring Vitello, we aren?t going to be that overnight. We were in position to be one of the hottest girls at the party after making Omaha 3 straight years and winning it all. Lemonis (and maybe lack of NIL) lost all momentum that we had and now we have to rebuild our reputation as one of the top 4 or 5 programs in the country.

Most portal players want to get paid and win right now. We need to get back to winning at a high level and then getting the top players will be easier. Right now, I?d say that lsu, ark, Tenn, texas, vandy, and even Georgia are all ahead of us in the ?attractiveness? category. That is just in the SEC. If we can win at a high level next year, we will create a lot of attention for ourselves and possibly get back into the discussion to be in the mix on many of the best players.

All of that said, we currently have what, 3 of the top 6 portal players? Yeah, they came with OConner, but we have them. I don?t think we are doing as poorly as it seems to some.

Right now we probably added the top pitcher in the portal in Valinicous AND he has two years of eligibility left. Nunnalee and Teel were really big adds as well.

I cant change the truth. We got 10 figure donations to the baseball program over halfway thru the season. Shit changes Chief. We had guys say **** this and make some calls then write a check. Our boosters stepped up this April. But sorry Biff- that shit wasnt there in March.

They gifted us a coach that was ranked #2 in the country preseason that missed making a Regional after we fired a coach that built teams that made Regionals the last 2 years. BOC's players at Va are top portal transfers yet nobody asks why they didnt make a Regional with all that damn talent???
