I don't think anyone is mad that he's kept the pieces we have or that we've pulled a few of the UVA pieces. I think there's always going to be consternation when you know you need pieces and you haven't yet gotten the pieces. The facts are that we need a 1B, SS, C, and at least 2-3 arms. Now they do still have time to get those pieces so it's not a massive concern on June 17th. Now if we're still missing those same pieces on July 7th then we may have an issue. And look, fair or not, we have a HC making 2.9 million with a NIL/rev share warchest of 3 million+. When you're paying and donating like that, people want results and they aren't too patient about it.

You cant build a program in in two weeks. Lots of things will change between now and next spring. I'm not worried about what we don't have right now but I like what we do have right now. Excitement is good and we lost our swag with Bucket Coach.
If you have never recruited at any college level u may understand better. I have and it's not always easy regardless what message board wanna be coaches think or say.
Things are better already and expectations are way more positive than not.

Im fired up with where we are currently at. We had a great offense last year. The majority of those guys are back and it would be a super majority if we retain mustache and frei. Our starting pitching could be top 3 in the nation if we stay healthy next year. We have 3 studs in main coaching positions. The dude will be lit. Im ded gum fired up. Dont care if ford and becker dont "commit." We gonna be alright. The Val brothers gonna be a problem next year. Stallman gonna hold down first and hit 15 hr's. Frei gonna come back, frown more than skinny, and hit 8 hr's from the left and 8 hr's from the right. Stache gonna hit atleast 20 in the gap to oppo field for doubles. Bean's k rate gonna be lower than a snakes belly. I dont care if Starkville is small. I dont care if we only have 3 bars in the cotton district. I dont care if the hunt club doesnt do their $10 bottom less cup any more. This is our time!! Take the negativity and shove it up your butt.

Forgot about my boy Ace. He was supposed to be gone to the Tigah's. But hes back baby! Yea, we gonna have an error or two at 3b, but he bout to hit 25 dingers and bat .380. Golden spikes finalist. Look, we aren?t the sexiest girl at the party right now and without hiring Vitello, we aren?t going to be that overnight. We were in position to be one of the hottest girls at the party after making Omaha 3 straight years and winning it all. Lemonis (and maybe lack of NIL) lost all momentum that we had and now we have to rebuild our reputation as one of the top 4 or 5 programs in the country.

Most portal players want to get paid and win right now. We need to get back to winning at a high level and then getting the top players will be easier. Right now, I?d say that lsu, ark, Tenn, texas, vandy, and even Georgia are all ahead of us in the ?attractiveness? category. That is just in the SEC. If we can win at a high level next year, we will create a lot of attention for ourselves and possibly get back into the discussion to be in the mix on many of the best players.

All of that said, we currently have what, 3 of the top 6 portal players? Yeah, they came with OConner, but we have them. I don?t think we are doing as poorly as it seems to some.
