The fact that he has had a great experience at MSU and playing at MSU and the fact that his family was also satisfied with MSU gave us an edge here as well.

Getting that deal done before June 7 keeps it from being subject to the Deloitte clearinghouse as well. Smart.

Katrina was the straw that broke Baton Rouge’s back. Before then it was still borderline shithole. I haven’t been in years, but I can only imagine what it is like now.

The last time I went to Baton Rouge was in 2001. My roommate was a chemical engineering major and was doing a co-op at some chem e place there. His brother and I went to help him move in. We didn?t stay long. My roommate was kind of pissed that we got him moved in and just left.

I have been to Baton Rouge a bunch of times (work). Been to both that joke of a baseball stadium they call the Box and Tiger Stadium for football. After several games at both those are the most drunken, obnoxious and rude fans of any place I have been. And these people I speak of were grown adults not some fraternity kids. I swore I would never go back to a game again.
Yes the town of Baton Rouge has gotten really sketchy! And my mother graduated from LSU a long time ago.
