The press conference is now up for those who want to watch it. SEC+

When you pay a baseball coach almost as much as your football coach, you deserve the misery you're going to get

Lebby and BOC combined are making less than 10 of the 16 SEC football coaches

Have you not found another team to cheer for yet? Dude. Get over it. If you graduated from State you are smart enough to know the school is not paying the majority of that salary. Baseball Boosters are. The ones paying most of that salary are literally focusing their funding on baseball. Most are more than likely former players.
Use you contact and influence with the Former State players in the NFL to get them to pony up to fund State football since you and others like to tell State Boosters how to spend their money.

Take your meds and go to bed, grandma

$2.9m means we have some money people who are sick of what they've been seeing. And I can't imagine ponying up that much to get an elite HC just to say "increase my NIL? No thanks". Parker is good at his job and likes it here, we might be better off with him than a 1 and done Muscara pit stop on his way to HC. We back in this boys. State baseball is BACK

Just got home from being at the event. It was incredible.

I know this is really hard for a lot of our fans to believe but we might have a really good AD.

I'm a believer now.

I think he has grown into the job for sure. But in this case, his fund raising expertise seems to be what kick this into high gear! I'm sure a lot of baseball guys reached out to him about the hire but I bet he asked them if they were ready to up the ante to win the hand!

It would be interesting to know how that played out.
I know when hired Cohen as baseball coach some players didn't support him while others did. My guess is that is where the disconnect with players and MSU started with the Polk vs Cohen and Byrne saga.
Cohen had to happen as baseball coach to get our program right in the SEC but there was definitely some damage done and some pain for all involved.
Now that Cohen is completely gone and his old hire is gone this feels like a similar turning point like when Cohen was first hired but the difference is things have come full circle now and it feels like everyone is on board and pulling in the same direction.

And I completely believe understand why people had doubts. We're not used to competence.

No, they just pretty much hated that SOB from the day he walked on campus. It was easy for them to stay away.

I never liked him as an ex player, but he was a good player.

Huge shoutout to Zac and the whole AD for last nights event. Cool to see former players, current players, and even UVA alumni all get in on the action. We?re talking a fireworks show for a baseball coach. Well done!
(Please limit Keenum to 60 seconds talking time moving forward. Hearing him ramble on about governors cups was cringey at best)

I have always believed in Zac, hell I was the only one defending him his first 15 months here.

Sometimes MSU alums and fans as a group have a spectacular lack of vison, the whole forest for the trees thing, they look to lash out at the easy target without understanding the entirety of the issue.

Amen. Within the first 30 seconds he?s talking beating the ?Ole Miss Rebelssssss?. He should have been yanked immediately. Then he goes on the brag about governors cup, cowbells, and ringing responsibly. Literally no one wants to hear from the President of the university in that moment. He was embarrassing.
