Steve Prohm was the hot coaching name back in the mid 2010's. Bama graduate and everyone thought he'd end up there. He was a name mentioned for us after Rick Ray when we ended up hiring Howland. He went to Iowa State. Ended up getting fired there, and now is back at Murray.

Another name that was mentioned as a potential replacement was Matt McMahon, the coach at Murray State at the time. Sports Illustrated reported that McMahon was considered a strong candidate, particularly for his success at Murray State.

I?m glad we hired Jans instead. He is most likely on his way out at LSU next year
