Given what happened with Sclhloss during the last hiring, I'm to the point to just being ready for the season to end so we can announce the hire (assuming the deal has indeed been made). We just don't really have an Omaha quality team anyway so I don't want an extended post-season costing us the hire we need to make. I mean, truth be told, if we had made the Schloss hire last time instead of Lemonis the program right now would be in a much, much better place.

Right. I can understand the logic of waiting until Tuesday if the team still has a game tomorrow, because no one will be in town anyway, but the announcement should not come any later than Tuesday, whether we have a series next weekend or not. We need O'Connor working the portal immediately, and we need to be able to definitively tell any incoming/outgoing players who the coach is going to be.

It would probably be Wednesday or Thursday before we had the presser. We have to announce tomorrow because the portal opens tomorrow. Staff and players were informed of it on Thursday.
