Does having BOC repair the John Grisham situation.

BOC did give a roster spot to the Grisham's kid. It would give MSU an additional billionaire alumnus so that Adkerson and Coach34 aren't paying for everything.

Don't know about that. But I do know that many more baseball alums are more involved now than they have been in the past 20 years.

No because he does not get along with O?Conner either as of about the last 15 years. We also have repaired that relationship some in years past. Not saying he will be giving us any money but the relationship is better than it was in the late 90s-early 00s

Assuming this goes through and we hire BOC, we have at least fixed the baseball issue. Basketball is in solid shape with Jans, so we can let BOC and Jans do their thing. Now we can focus 100% on the big mess we created in football. If ONLY we had just hired my 1st choice in 2018 (Chris Klieman) instead of Cohen trying to be the smartest guy in the room with the Moorhead hiring we would be in great shape all over.

Grisham got sideways with the university when Polk would not give his son a spot on the roster in the early 00s, and no Ben Grisham was not his son. I know Ben and he was John’s nephew but John’s son was not on the team. He got sideways with Ole Miss on the same subject. UVA needed funding at the time and Grisham was willing to cut a hell of a check. However, Grisham and O’Conner got sideways on a completely different issue about 10-12 years ago and so Grisham does not really help them in terms of funding anymore.

We are terrible in regards to legacies and helping big time alums. Should have had Grisham?s kid on the team, Palmeiro?s kid, etc.
Wayne Madkin has a daughter playing volleyball at Arkansas. I hope we did all we could to get her. We just have to be more strategical in our thinking.

If you only knew. One guy that gave $$$ for the buyout and is helping with the new staff played for Polky, asked Cohen to just look at his kid, he wouldn’t and kid goes and started for Arkansas. There are so many stories of stupidity it’s unbelievable.

They can gather all they want. Money is not the issue and never was. They let us pitch him on funding, facilities, etc and it was over. They had their chance and were too laissez faire with it because they just figured he would stay.
